MpixReviews of mpix.com

Think twice before spending top dollar at mpix!! Their editor and software is not a good product as it doesn’t allow you to truly proof on your phone - there is no zoom feature and if you’re printing small text you just have to trust the editor. They haven’t vetted the fonts they allow which some print special characters and other don’t but you won’t know which ones do and which ones don’t. I spent a small fortune on signature albums only to receive gibberish characters for special characters that show up in the editor but don’t print. MPIX refused to take responsibility because of the fact that you can proof the text on a desktop but NOT A PHONE!! They should disable it for phones if that is the case. Absolutely awful service and complete waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!

I installed the Mpix app on my iPhone and created an account, then tried to make it work. I gave up before ordering anything. Here’s why . . 1. Needed multiple uploads to complete an album without “error, wrong format on some photos”, even with all jpegs. Alter repeatedly determining the missing photos and reloading only those, it eventually created the full album. Very time consuming. 2. Asks if I want to reload project after “error”, then it doesn’t reload, so need to do the same repeated uploads for the full album. 3. Shows a border on photos, can’t get rid of it. 4. Cannot delete photo in “product uploads”, even duplicates. 5. If aspect is changed for one photo in an album, it changes all the photos. 6. Repeatedly forces me to re-login while navigating in this app. 7. Tried it on my MacBook. Unlike the iPhone which allows selecting pictures from my Photos app, cannot load directly from Photos app on laptop (the same synced pictured as my iPhone), even when clicking on Mpix “Open Photos” button. Had to give up on Mac. 8. Mpix help line is only an email or text chat - useless for all these problems. I have 15 albums with 6,000 pictures to print. With such a difficult app, I cannot trust Mpix, I’m going somewhere else.

I have used Mpix for a long time. Not every year but every few years I will put together an order for several hundred dollars worth of products for us and for gifts with my photography. In the past the company was stellar and I never had a reason to complain, but with my last order, it has changed. a $500+ order was one hour photo quality even on the larger prints and canvas. Since I was spending a large amount, I wanted to make sure they would be good, so I viewed my pics on multiple devices and computers and tested them and painstakingly made sure they'd be good quality. In years past, pics would always come back even better than I expected because they used to take extra pride in developing and even doing minor editing. They were the best. I should have know with a quick turn around that had changed. You used to have to wait a bit for your orders, especially during vacation season and Christmas season. My order got here so fast, I was surprised and then I saw why. It was pathetic quality. It's hard to explain, but the high definition of the past is gone from their developing. It looks fake and milky. If you are old enough, do you remember how pictures looked on early ink jets with the photo paper. They looked weird just like these. I've printed off pics on a color copy machine that look better than Mpix. I contacted them to address the issue on the canvas in particular and was told the 100% satisfaction means they'll reprint the picture to the same standard but won't do anything else. So basically their guarantee is useless. What's the point of reprinting the picture to their new low standard. My original looks nice. Their reproduction looks like something from the dollar store.

Sent me a damaged print. The packaging was insane for the way they tape everything together which causes the damage when sent through the mail. Solution was to have me send it back to them for them to do anything which is a total waste of my time. Never order from them.

very disappointed in my experience with Mpix. No quality control was shipped a grad lawn sign with my daughter's name printed twice in 2 different fonts and colors. They would not accept any responsibility for this and lacked customer service skills. Will never order from them again!

Like many other customers I'm reading about, the quality control is lacking. And the customer service to make the customer want to return and the product situation better is just not there nor their priority. When viewing my final photo on actual print it did not depict correct edging of card due to incorrect crop of picture. Customer service would not correct nor take ownership of bad final photo on how it was sent. Will not order again, due to not having any willingness to discount or fix problem. Very disappointing customer service. Good products cannot last with bad customer service, and for that I will find one of the many other good photo printers for next time.

Our Preschool has ordered photos from MPix for years. Their website has changed since we had last ordered and the center all auto feature did not auto-center our 8×10 photos. Children's heads were cut off in the photos and MPix is not making it right by sending us corrected/centered photos. I have gotten the runaround and was told it's my fault and we would need to re-purchase those photos. They have lost our school's business.

I paid extra to have a white border added on my photos, i read the fine print and was under the assumption that it kept the image size the same and just made the paper larger. No where did it say my images would be shrunken from 8x10 to 7x9, i am just an everyday person and not a photographer that would just know this information. upon receiving my pictures all my images were smaller and unusable, all are to small for my frames. customer service was quick to say it was my fault and they would only offer me 50% off a new order. 100% happiness guarantee is a crock, and apparently it only applies where they see fit. Customer service argues with you and berates you, horrible experience. I will never give this company another cent, ill make sure to spread the word how great my experience was with them though.
