Made my shoulder injury worse. Went to see a physio who agreed that the exercises in the Move u program would have worsened my injury. When I told Move u they said that the program isn’t designed for people with injuries, but is just for the ‘general public’
Response from MoveUSep 25, 2022
Hi Jack. We’d like to clarify this review. Dr. Mike replied to you personally: "The proper scoop draws the lower tip of the shoulder blade forward while retracting the top of the blade - creating a clockwise rotation of the left blade, and counterclockwise rotation of the right blade, which when done properly reduces impingement when raising your arm or pressing. It takes time to learn to rotate your shoulder blade properly, and when you do it benefits virtually everyone. The confusion your physio may be having may be the way you’re explaining it to him, as is it is often counterproductive to simply pull your shoulder blades down and FORWARD as it can most certainly worsen your impingement. I encourage you to hop on the next coaching call as we’re doing to be going over exercises and techniques from the shoulder program." Our customer service representative stated: "All the exercises in our program are intended to strengthen the ENTIRE shoulder capsule and related muscles. We do not recommend doing only one exercise, nor working only one muscle group. We understand you need to follow the specific advice of your healthcare provider. Our programs are for the general public looking for general streng and proper joint function." We did not state that our programs were not for those with injuries. Our programs are safe for the general public (including those who are trying to recover from injuries) - but they must utilize our coaching and support services when going it alone isn't helping - we wish you would have chosen to use those supports! We wish you well with your PT and recovery.

Way too much setup involved before any doing occurs. Course structure has plenty of room for improvement.

Hey there. Thank you for your review. We'd love to hear more specific ideas about room for improvement as we are always striving to bring MUvers the most effective product. By "setup", we are assuming you mean education. We thoroughly believe that becoming aware of your current posture and movement patterns through our edutainment is integral to Fixing Yo Sh*t! There are no short cuts. It takes awareness, time and effort to improve. We are sorry you felt you didn't get to the "doing" more quickly. We stand behind our holistic approach to helping thousands out of pain. The MoveU Team

I have to dedicate a lot of time to watch de videos and then do the exercises. I am studying and working and I don’t have so mucha time. Will be better for me arrive at home turn on the computer and follow the exercises like a Yoga lesson. And then If I have time check the explanation videos if I am not doing well some of them.

Hey Sento, We absolutely acknowledge that our courses take time and effort. There really are no shortcuts, though we have listened to past feedback and have created our new Mini Courses to alleviate some of the time expended. Please remember that to address years of less than optimal habits and movement patterns will take time. The 6 weeks that you have been in our Membership is quite short. We notice that you've only explored the Total Body program and encourage you to check out our new courses like Low Back and Core, Hip and Pelvic Floor. We do hope that you will agree that the information and content provided in our membership is 5 star, as so many others have rated us. You do indeed have the ability to follow along to classes in our Fitness course, once you have become familiar with our methodology and terminology. We put a lot of thought and research into the structure of our courses and are sorry to hear that you felt you didn't have the time because we DO offer what you are looking for. YOU have the ability to choose your best path for success. Thank you for providing valuable feedback. The MoveU Team

I did the program before in 2019 and liked it overall, but it was moving a bit slow for what I wanted (was getting ready for my wedding). Revisited it now where I am not on a deadline and okay with slower development, but find myself very bored. Sticking to it and trying to be positive, but not loving it. I was hoping the workouts would be a bit more motivating. One of my PT's put exercise as the cupcake for doing the ground work and that worked for me. The videos have great visuals (muscle groups) and comparisons (the truck stuck out), but I would like them to cut to the chase a bit more with less effects.

Hmm. We are a bit confused because you note that you find yourself bored, but also say that we have great visuals, but that you'd like fewer effects. We strive to produce content that has great value to everyone from the least body aware to the most. We hope you will agree that the sheer volume of content and knowledge for a low monthly fee is a fantastic value. We are surprised to see a 2 star review and hope that our future programs will warrant a change of heart. We work very hard to provide something for everyone from content, to community, to fitness to entertainment. We are sorry to hear we've fallen short in your eyes. The MoveU Team

I signed up for moveu for my back pain. It definitely helped me and I do feel the program is very good. However, moveu left a bitter taste with their org policies. When I signed up for a year sub, I was told I can convert to lifetime at any time. I again re checked this around 6 months and it was still the case. However, before a month, I tried to convert to lifetime membership, I was told that the policy changed and that I needed to sign up for lifetime 30 days after signing up for 1 yr sub. So, I am on the fence of recommending this program to friends and family now.

When I started my journey a while ago it was great - coaches gave good feedback, Andrew's videos are informative and thorough, and partnering up with other people was great. Unfortunately in the past month there's been a lot of change: the co-founder and key leaders/coaches are gone. While I'll never truly know what happened as I was never a fly on the wall at their company (which would have been creepy), I think it speaks volumes when you see 7-10 people leave within a short time-frame. Especially when you're a small company. Especially when it seemed like it was a tight-knit team bonded together by values. Especially when the co-founder who built and led the program from the ground-up and is so passionate about MoveU ...just suddenly leaves. What's worse is that the way the company handled the rapid change was HORRIBLE. I've worked for a handful of companies that have undergone major changes and this was by far the most poorly handled one. I wanted to post this in case there is someone is thinking about buying the program and hoping to get feedback from Andrew (former co-founder) or one of the core coaches - you can't. Well at least for the most part, there's one OG coach left but that's it. Understand that new coaches are in (which isn't necessarily bad) but I don't want to you purchase under false pretenses thinking you're purchasing the program in MoveU's good ol' days. I'm saddened by all the changes. I think content wise what MoveU has to offer is still incredibly valuable. Just know that the community is still healing from the damage that has been done. Time will tell where MoveU goes.

Hi Ashley, Thank you for your feedback and concerns. We’ve loved having you as a MUver in our community, and are sincerely sorry that your feelings about our Company have changed. We too are sad to see key members leave, however, we also are excited to see them flourish in their next endeavors. That being said, at this time we have shared with our Members all that we can about this transitional period while continuing to uphold both past and present employees' privacy. We want you to know that we are doing all that we can as we move and grow, but are always open to feedback/criticism as to how we can improve moving forward. We’d love to get your input and speak with you personally about the matter so that we can continue to drive our mission forward. If you feel inclined, please message us at [email protected] to connect and share your direct feedback. For now, please know that the integrity and heart of MoveU remain the same and the company continues both onwards and upwards!

There is still no help with any of the program other than an online support which as I said before That does not work for me. I require a contact number that I can talk to somebody about the program which I’ve gotten absolutely no help with. I am still seeing results because I am dedicated to seeking results and navigate the program to the best of my ability. Program is very on organized with the workouts and is not user-friendly. I feel like you guys have amazing content but have absolutely no support that goes along with it, I definitely feel at a disadvantage having dyslexia and not having a contact number to have some support with the program
Response from MoveUAug 22, 2019
Hi Jordan, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the program and we acknowledge that you are unhappy right now. We are more than happy to get on the phone with you to see how we can help you out in understanding how the program works and how to navigate it. You had reached out to us previously and we gave you the ability to get into the test program for our new platform, and we did not hear back from you. This platform will be much improved and should help clear up the issues that you were having on the other platform. If this is something that you are still interested in doing, please send me an email at [email protected] and I can connect you with the people on our team who can help make this happen. Keep MUvin!
