The blanket arrived quickly but I should have paid more attention to the dimensions as it was smaller than I expected. My son likes sleeping with it and it seems to help him fall asleep faster.

I ordered a blanket for my 17 year old son with Asperger's. He really likes having a lot of weight on him when he sleeps and is heading off to college soon, so I thought it would be helpful for him. He picked out the fabric he wanted but when the blanket arrived it was a totally different pattern. Although what came was nice, it was not what he wanted so it was hard to convince him to keep it. The company said they ran out of the fabric he chose so they made a substitution. Sending it back would have been costly as well as the time to wait for another one to be made, so we opted to keep it despite his disappointment with the fabric. He likes the feel of it but has to be reminded not to use it continually or it doesn't feel heavy to him anymore. I haven't tried to wash it yet so I'm not sure how it will hold up but the construction seems to be very good by appearance. I only got a throw size blanket because they are so expensive. It was something I felt would be beneficial to my son and I don't have the time to make myself.

I bought this to help me sleep better. The weighted blanket helps my body relax which helps my brain relax and that helps me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. The blanket is very well made and attractive, too. I have already been recommending the weighted blanket to friends. I've been using it in warmer weather and I don't overheat which surprises me.

When we received the blanket, I thought, this will never work for the child we had purchased it for. It is way too heavy and he will not tolerate the weight of the blanket across his body. I was right except, he really likes to have it over his feet at night, and mom is reporting that the child's sleep patterns have changed for the better. He is sleeping much better and for longer periods of time. I might suggest a smaller, lap type blanket for children who just need their feet covered. This would make the expense cheaper, and the blanket would be easier to take along when the family is going to be away at night.

I purchased a weighted blanket and lap pad for my 10 year old. They are something that we have thought about and researched for quite awhile. They were delivered very quickly after ordering, considering they had to be specially made and they seem to be very well made. I think they are well worth the money spent.

We grew up where it was really cold and we were use to heavy blankets. Years ago, we moved to an area that isn't as cold so having a lot of blankets is something my spouse and I have missed. Not any more. These blankets offer the comforting weight without creating too much heat. It is May and we are still using them.
