Excellent experience i love it i had so much fun

The advertising for the marbling class in retrospect was a bait and switch operation. The video advertising it shows a silk scarf being made, and when I got to the studio what I actually paid $47 per person (x2) for was marbling using 8x10 sheets of paper. To do a scarf it was an additional upcharge of $60 per person, and they didn't have any scarves or enough solution onsite. They called Customer Service who said "no refunds the day of the class", and neither my friend or myself had any interest in marbling paper. As the only alternative available to me I requested they instead give me a DIY Turkish lamp kit so I could get something for my $, but they were out of those at the location as well. In theory I will be getting one of those by mail. Initially customer service said I would have to drive back to the location to pickup the lamp. I insisted that they mail it to me given I live 40 minutes away, and already wasted almost an hour and a half of my time and gas for nothing. Both my friend and I were disappointed this was the outcome, as we had been looking forward to it for weeks.

Teachers were very informative and patient, supplies were plentiful and a variety of designs made the lamp your own.

I liked the choices of colors. What I didn’t like was there was no pattern to transfer onto the glass, so it made it difficult to follow the pattern. It would be better to have a pattern that can be traced on the glass so you are able to put the glass in the pattern. Another thing I didn’t like was I didn’t have a choice of lamps. They had a lot of different choices, but we were only offered the one. My lamp looks OK but a lot of glass shifted and the grout was wiped off, but I would definitely do it again just differently and a way I would want a different lamp. I’d like some choices.

I enjoyed the class very much. It was a lot of fun. I love my globe. I’d love to do something else this winter maybe. The host was great at what he does. He gave us great instructions and was always there for us when we needed help. Thank you so much!

Really enjoyed this workshop! The communication before the workshop included helpful step by step videos to help prepare for the day, and reminders helped ensure the time and location were clear and fresh in mind. The instructors were friendly and helpful; supplies, materials, and project phases were very well organized, and all was set up with plenty of room to work. The instructions were simple and clear such that beginners like us could jump right in and finish all the steps in the time allotted there, and we were provided with kits of everything needed to do the last steps at home. This was a lot of fun, and we're all very happy with our beautiful lamps! We're already talking about doing it again when we can, highly recommend!

Wonderful experience at the Mosaic Art Studio in NYC! Our instructor made a fairly challenging art project easy to follow. She was very generous with her time and patiently answered questions and shared tips. The studio is beautiful and well equipped.
