Average at best. One event really discouraged me. Mortgage America had an appraisal done on the property, then a second as the construction was coming to an end. They used the first appraisal (which was low but didn’t concern them since our down payment was considerable) and, despite me asking several times, refused to share the second appraisal. I was told “senior management did not want to share the appraisal.” As a company in an industry so regulated, the lack of transparency definitely influenced my trust in this company. I would NOT recommend them.

Mortgage America only held our mortgage for a hot minute before selling so I have only the process of getting a mortgage and I didn’t find them anymore capable than anyone else.
