Well... I refinanced. My old/ original mortgage was not paid off for more than 60 days after it was past due, as I made payments on my new mortgage. I wasnt made aware of the issue until I was sent to collections by my original mortgage holder. Feel free to contact me for more details.

We refinanced our loan with Mortgage America, and while we are very happy with our new rate, their overall customer service left much to be desired. I really wish they had reached out to explain the process with us. When it came time to sign off on the paperwork with the title company, we were caught unawares due to a lack of communication regarding how much money we would need for signing. Pretty disappointed.

I won’t use them again.

Burning multiple vacation days due to Mortgage America oversight was not how I envisioned using them when I refinanced my home. Settlement was postponed twice. The first time no one showed up, it was confirmed but never scheduled. Then two weeks later, after many apologies, it was postponed a SECOND TIME. I was promised, as a repeat customer that I would be compensated for the inconveniences by removing administration fees- that never happened. And lastly, I received a letter from Mortgage America AFTER settlement. Apparently I qualified for a lower rate but because Mortgage America dropped the ball three times I got the letter after the deadline and missed out on getting a .5% lower rate. Having been a repeat client, I am disappointed at how poorly Mortgage America handled my refinance.

I found it disappointing to continually reaching out to the loan officer and loan processor to receive updates and ask for documentation to continue the loan process. In fact, I was notified two days before our closing date of a document that was needed to move forward. Customer Service is needed in all industries and the service that was given was lacking. I would have liked to experience employees that were diligent to communicate the process with me and provide proper documentation ahead of time.

I have enjoyed being a customer of American Mortgage. I’m said to find out they sold my mortgage to Wells Fargo. Not a fan...

Chris Scheetz was awesome what ever your paying him double it. He walked us through the whole process was very impressed with his communication and knowledge of the mortgage industry and the different types of loans . He is an asset to your company
