I can only base my review on my own experience using the app in Vietnam. I set up the app before travelling, loading with a UK credit card which does not charge foreign currency handling fees. It actually worked pretty much seamlessly, with the only blip being on the part of my credit card company which flagged one of the transfers as potential fraud. The rate at which GBP was moved to USD was excellent and bettered even than getting cash from a fee free Vietnamese ATM. I used it for taxis, market stalls and restaurants avoiding the often applied credit card surcharge they would apply. Again my experience, but would not hesitate to use it again.

On the fraud flag from your card issuer: that's a fairly common one for travelers, and letting your bank know your travel dates before loading up can usually prevent it.
