30 Minuten gelernt.

I was not too fond of the change in the daily lesson, that the correct answer disappeared right after you gave the correct answer.

Misleading Advertising and No Customer Support
Misleading advertising - I signed up because they advertised Ukrainian but once I paid for a year I found they only have Intermediate or Advanced - no Basic. I wrote then 3 times so far asking for a refund and they have not replied. I also cannot find a phone number anywhere. Dodgy company

Language content fine but app quality now awful
I've never payed for the premium content and only use the free lesson of the day but I've rarely missed a day in the last several years so I know the app pretty well. I used to do the daily lessons (and the weekly and monthly ones that you earn access to if you don't miss any days) in several languages but I only use this for Croatian now because I can get far more free (ad supported) learning for the other languages by using other providers. I'm no longer learning much new in the daily lesson and I've seen many of the daily lessons recur but it's very effective at helping me retain what I already understand. I found the conjugation tables that are available if you see a double-underlined word in a sentence incredibly useful when I first started trying to learn the language because they gave quick answers to questions that the 'natural learning' process would have taken a very long time to teach. There has always been some hit-and-miss behaviour (such as clicking a double-underlined word and seeing conjugation tables for a different verb with a similar meaning) but you get used to that and sometimes the quirks are useful because they teach you words that you wouldn't otherwise have known. The most annoying thing about the app used to be the ads inviting you to pay for the premium content. I don't mind the fact that I'm being invited to pay for the good stuff but I've always disliked the fact that the ads are misleading - every single day for years I've been presented with the same supposedly limited time offers and it's dishonest and disingenuous. When Pearson bought Mondly some time ago I thought they might get rid of the misleading ads but nothing very much changed until very recently. There's clearly been a lot of work going on lately to make the app look more showy and they've also revised the language content a little. (I'm noticing, for example, that when daily lessons I've seen many times before crop up again, they now sometimes have answers that are different from the "correct" answers I've already learned.) Pictures linked to words have also been updated to reinforce the app's new highly saturated look. I don't particularly care whether the app has the new or the old look but I do care that it should work reliably and I fear that Pearson has been so highly focused on the new look that they have utterly forgotten to make sure it still works properly: verbs are still sometimes double-underlined but now when I click on them nothing happens; so no more access to conjugation tables. The way that the daily lesson section of the app indicates which weeks' and months' lessons are available/completed has become less clear in my opinion but the most truly awful and buggy changes have been in the leaderboard section. Not only has Pearson made the peculiar decisions to rename the "leaderboard" to "social" and to replace its previous navigation options (which were easily understood, readily clickable links) with a series of "roller widgets" that behave inconsistently and unreliably, the (mis)information displayed on the leaderboards is now so utterly wrong that there is no point even looking at them. I'm writing this in early December and the "points" view of the leaderboard does not show my points at all and shows an incorrect number of points for the top 15 people. Likewise, the "November" and "All Time" leaderboards show the wrong points. How do I know the numbers are wrong? I log in to the Mondly web site, which still looks like the app used to, and I look at the leaderboards there because they do get updated when I do another lesson.

Dear Severen,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for being a dedicated Mondly user over the years. It’s clear you’ve invested a lot of time into learning with us, and we truly appreciate your insights and loyalty.
We’re glad to hear that you’ve found value in features like the conjugation tables and the daily lessons. Regarding the issue with the conjugation tables not opening when clicking on double-underlined words, this was a bug that our team identified and has since fixed. We understand how important this feature is for our learners, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience it caused. It should now be functioning correctly, but if you experience any further issues, please let us know.
We also want to address your feedback about the ads for premium content. We recognize how repetitive or misleading they may sometimes appear, and we’re actively working on improvements to make these communications clearer and more aligned with user expectations. Changes are planned for this year, and the team in charge has noted your valuable insight on how these ads are perceived.
Lastly, we appreciate your detailed observations about the recent updates, including the leaderboard and navigation changes. Your input is incredibly helpful as we refine these features to provide a better, more reliable experience for our learners.
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We’re always listening to our users, and your input plays a significant role in shaping the future of Mondly.
Best regards,
Andrea

Hello Coralie,
Thanks for the review. Mondly offers both free and paid content. We offer free daily lessons, weekly quizzes, and monthly challenges. Still, we have to offer part of our content under a subscription as we need to cover the expenses of the team behind Mondly.
If you're interested in accessing more, we recommend discussing this with a parent or guardian who can help decide what's best for you.
All the best from the Mondly Team!

Надали статус Преміум
Добрий день. Користувалася довгий час,але не постійно. На початку був поганий зв'язок і чогось лектор мене не розуміла,
Через цю причину не хотіла користуватися. Але програма дійсно гарна. Потім мені надали статус Преміум. Коли з'явилося нове оновлення, я обновила програму,то статус зник і я не можу повноцінно користуватися програмою. Це мене дратує.
Купувати Преміум я не буду, так як мені це дорого. Навіть по знижці.
Дякую.
