TERRIBLE customer service and brand experience, great products...
Customer service needs to be studied in the worst-case scenarios. I genuinely love Monday Swimwear’s products and I own a lot of them which is why it’s so disappointing to see how poor the customer experience is. The brand is clearly targeting the Australian market and is co-owned by an Australian, yet customer service operates entirely around US time. On top of that, waiting 48 hours for a response in 2026 is simply not acceptable for an international brand with a significant Australian customer base. If you’re selling to customers globally, customer service needs to reflect that. They have enough money to take dozens of influencers on multiple trips yearly costing hundreds of thousands of dollars but can't operate a decent customer service? Instagram is another issue. For a brand that has grown largely through influencers and social media, it’s honestly crazy that customer messages on Instagram can simply go unopened. Social media is a huge part of how this brand communicates with and acquires customers, so completely ignoring customer enquiries there makes very little sense. It's disappointing... Then there are the constantly changing rules around rewards. The latest one is particularly frustrating: you can earn rewards through your purchases and loyalty to the brand, but apparently you can’t necessarily use those rewards when purchasing sale items. If there are restrictions on how rewards can be redeemed, these should be clearly communicated **before** customers spend money and earn those rewards not introduced or applied when they actually try to use them. And that’s the frustrating part: I actually love the products I have purchased so many pieces from Monday Swimwear and have generally been a customer for a long time. But good products can only carry a brand so far. Customer service, communication and transparent policies matter just as much. At this point, the customer experience is genuinely making me reconsider buying from the brand altogether, which is a shame because I really do love the swimwear. Great products, but the customer service and overall customer experience seriously need improvement.
Response from Monday SwimwearSep 1, 2026
Hi there, Thank you for the detailed feedback, and for being such a loyal customer over the years. We're glad you love the pieces, and we take this seriously. We aim to respond within 24 business hours, so we'd like to understand where that gap happened for you. Same with Instagram, messages there shouldn't go unanswered, and that's something we're looking into. We also hear you on the rewards restrictions. We're sorry the experience didn't match what we aim for, and we appreciate you taking the time to share this rather than just walking away.
