Good Products, Great People
I was not able to physically visit the Mobility Direct showroom as I don’t reside in Florida but in California. But after months of studying different scooters, reading articles and recommendations, and watching I think every YouTube video Sergio has ever made I settled on the Pride PX4, it checked all my boxes. Initially my order was taken by Anton. It was pretty straightforward although I was a little confused about the trim accent choices. I initially chose the desert camo but Anton explained that it wasn’t available and the closest that I could choose was the black camo. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me so I went with the black camo instead. After the call & order was completed, a receipt was sent to my email immediately. A few days later I received an email from Edward asking me to call about my choice of accent trim color so I did as soon as I finished reading the email. Edward explained that for some reason the black camo wasn’t available but I could choose a color or a different camo pattern including my initial choice of the desert camo. This left me scratching my head but I was happy to be receiving what I originally wanted. Edward said after the call he’d let Pride know of my choice immediately. So up to this point, I’ve been nothing but pleased with how my purchase and dealings with Mobility Direct has been and if this review could end here, 5 stars would be my rating but I still need to review the shipping. I can’t complain about the cost, shipping was free but I did have a problem, a couple problems actually with them. Once my scooter once on its way, I was provided with a tracking #. My delivery date was scheduled for the 19th of this month (October). My shipment made it to Sacramento on the 18th and estimated delivery was the 19th. I waited most of the day and when I checked tracking, it said it had been delivered but not to me, to a transfer dock. I called the shipper and was told I was outside their service area. If they knew that beforehand and I assumed they did , why wasn’t I contacted beforehand and told that? Up to this point I had no idea who this transfer company was or any info on when they were planning on delivering. I had to call the original shipper and get that information, not something I should have to do ! I finally was able to contact the transfer company ( this was this past Thursday) and they said it was slated to be delivered Monday. However, they informed me that the container containing the scooter had extensive damage. I was sent pictures in order to decide if I want them to continue the delivery or if I wanted to cancel the shipment. It was at this time that I called Mobility Direct and I spoke with Luis. Luis got the brunt of my, to put it lightly, my frustration and he was the consummate professional, he listened and assured me he’d contact Pride on my behalf and get their opinion on how I should proceed. Long story short ( yeah, right) I went ahead with delivery and yes, the packaging was heavily damaged but the scooter didn’t suffer a single scratch. I’ve made several other calls that Luis has fielded and each call he maintained a friendly and helpful demeanor and Mobility Direct is fortunate to have him on staff. Mobility Direct gets 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars but unfortunately overall, I felt a one star reduction was warranted. But I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Mobility Direct to anyone looking for a quality mobility scooter. I do wish they’d plant a store out here in the West.
