Ricky, this is Orlando. I personally reached out and we spoke on the phone regarding your situation. We found the root cause of your issue. You ordered the wrong item and were going to update your review but that never happened. To anyone else reading this review below is a quick summary of the situation. Ricky is experienced with car audio installations but was not prepared for the complexity of the 2007-2013 Acura MDX audio system. His MDX has navigation and although what he ordered clearly stated its not meant for a navigation equipped vehicle he figured with his experience he could make it work. When he was not able to make it work he decided the issue was with our product and not his installation or research. Unfortunately Ricky learned the hard way that there is a reason why the item he ordered is labeled not compatible with Navigation equipped MDXs. We do a lot of research and hands-on testing to ensure we offer our customers the correct solution. Ricky chose the wrong product for his installation. To anyone else reading this review we do offer a solution for the MDXs with navigation and it is plug and play. It is called the ELS Amplifier Interface and you can find it on our website. This was an honest mistake by Ricky and we hope he updates his review. The listing he ordered from does state in the title and the description that it won’t work with models that have factory navigation. We find that installers who have some experience but mainly work on simpler cars overestimate their knowledge and abilities with the Acura brand and end up in trouble. We are here to help our customers and if you are unsure it's best to ask. Our staff spend every day either behind a computer screen researching Acura Audio Navigations Systems or inside an Acura testing different products. This gives us the confidence and knowledge to properly guide our customers and help them. Every once in a while we encounter a customer who thinks we are trying to pull one over on them or that they know more than us. While that is a possibility it is highly unlikely that they do. I understand that may sound cocky but when you have dedicated the time our team has, it tends to be the truth. The customer mentality that they know more or they better is what gets them in trouble and leads them to waste money on things they shouldn’t have bought. We don’t care if you buy from us or not, but please don’t try to treat us like the bad guys when we are trying to help you.
