MIRACLE EAR IS NO MIRACLE!
FOR THE RECORD, you MAY receive a mailing offering you a $20 gift card FROM WALMART, as I did. It is being offered as an enticement for you to get a "Free hearing exam at Miracle-Ear." I did it. I had the exam, at Roseville, Minnesota, just a few miles away from their corporate HQ in downtown Minneapolis, ironically enough. Afterwards the young man who handled my exam sat behind his desk, and explained to me the details of the results, basically informing me I had some serious issues with my left ear's sensitivity to frequent sounds, including most speech. I appreciated his detail, and got a copy of the diagnosis. Afterwards, he switched roles and began delineating how much the appropriate hearing aids would run me. More than $3K. He also shared there were payment plans available. Up to this point, I have no issues with the place. THEN, the drama starts. On my way out, the receptionist, informs me that they do not issue the gift cards. They are mailed out from a 3rd party vendor, and that it would take 2 weeks. That was a disappointment since I had planned on making a Walmart run after that appointment. 2 weeks turned into 3 weeks, then a month. And lo,it JUST arrived TODAY, 37 days later. But THAT'S not the kicker! Its NOT even a WALMART gift card it is a "Drive Visa Prepaid Card, which can ONLY be used "inside gas stations, or to load your electric car's charging app account! I DONT EVEN HAVE A CAR, NOR DO I DRIVE! So I can only get overpriced snack food or drinks with it! I already let that office know I would not use their services for my hearing aids. I suggest you don't either.....unless you have an electric car!
