Back in March 2025, when my medical conditions were beginning to intensify, and I knew my body was changing, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to work. But proving that to the government would be incredibly difficult-- not because the information wasn’t available, but because the government does NOT want to help anyone facing tremendous circumstances beyond their control. That’s when I found Mindset via FindHelp.org and met Jenna Gonzalez, my casework manager. As God is my witness, Jenna was beside me throughout the excruciating ordeal. Every hospital visit, when I was involuntarily committed, when I lost my vehicle, when I faced outrageous energy bills, everything. Jenna was a persistent vessel of kindness. Jenna guided me every step of the way, fighting for my case with every piece of paper. There must be angels on Earth, because Jenna certainly fits that profile. And when SSA/DDS denied my claim’s appeal, again, Jenna was beside me, fighting for the Reconsideration. Then, one morning, she called me to announce my claim had been approved! I broke into tears! After so much suffering, one light broke through the clouds, and Jenna and Mindset made it happen! I cannot thank them enough for helping me with the initial application, the intake questions, getting the documents, understanding what to do in certain situations, everything.
