I didn't have any expectations of the retreat when I signed up. And I was pleasantly surprised with how powerful silence can be. Piero was a great gentle guide. I particularly appreciated his regular reminders to "keep the mindful switch on" throughout the day. The sharing part at the end of the retreat was also incredibly powerful. Knowing that, in our silence, we all had a common but different and personal experience for each of us for me created a feeling of openness and connection to other people and their experiences.
