I enrolled for MBSR class. I have lots of previous experience with mindfulness & I’m a practicing psychotherapist. I felt this would be a great way to experience the full class, thus improving my own mindfulness experience and share more of this with my clients. A bonus is I would be able to also share this with a group who enrolled with me. My clinical work has become very demanding & I needed to change my schedule after 2 classes. I emailed and asked if I could just move to another day. I was denied. My friend emailed and told them “something came up.” She was granted a credit to restart the class at another time. I sent another email & had a phone call with I guess “corporate”. No. My emotional demands don’t fit under their compassion policy. Yet, when something just comes up I guess that’s all you need. The class itself I was grateful to have a time & day to commit me to the practice, yet the class itself is dreadfully boring. The small groups via Zoom are silly. Too many people enrolled to feel as though you could ever get to know them. However, the net of the experience was unfortunately not good. I would have thought after COVID compassion would be something a mindfulness organization would have more of, especially as a mental health counselor. I wouldn’t recommend this company.

Hello Crystal, We're sorry to hear you had a negative experience. Online MBSR is a unique and developing paradigm that we're always looking to improve. As for our policy on transfers, our policy is to provide a class transfer for any reason so long as the request is made before the week 1 class session. We try to be very clear with our refund policy and include it in the order form, in the FAQ, and in the class orientation. Outside of the policy as stated we do make exceptions for extreme cases such as a family emergency, we would not provide a refund for someone only saying that something had come up. Our MBSR class has been really well received by many mental health professionals, but it isn't necessarily for everyone. Warmly, The Mindful Leader Team

Hi Brad, We are so sorry you keep getting emails from us. We try our best to ensure people receive the emails that they sign up for. The email you received from TrustPilot was automated. You have been completely deleted from our system and you should no longer receive emails from us. Warmly, The Mindful Leader Team

This a guided meditation program. Very little information is provided regarding meditation and it's effectiveness--better to save your money and buy a book and/or take a course through Coursera. A number of the participants believed that the program was the first step to certification--it's not. I would not recommend this program to anyone.

Hi Bruce, We value your feedback and we are sorry you didn’t have the experience you were expecting with our 8-week MBSR course. MBSR is an experiential course and not an academic course. It’s taught live and online by a certified teacher and with a group of other students. The 8-week MBSR course is the first step toward MBSR teacher certification. If there is any other clarification we can provide, please let us know. Warmly, The Mindful Leader Team
