I really appreciate the work that has gone into creating this company and I think they have good intentions. Their app is pretty good, the structure of their “therapy” is decent and they provide a lot of helpful materials. BUT, there are some MAJOR flaws/issues that should be addressed/fixed by the company and considered by anyone thinking about giving Mindbloom a shot. The primary issue is the RDT’s (rapid dissolve tablets) that they use. A quick Google search for Mindbloom reviews will reveal TONS of Mindbloom customers complaining about these tablets. These tablets are LOADED with ketamine at levels much higher than you’d find used in IV treatments or nasal sprays. Even other companies using oral route of administration are not using these doses. Dosing starts at 200mg (for most it seems) and inevitably most people are moved up to 1200mg. Why? In my experience and based on the reviews out there, the experience of many others, the first several sessions are essentially duds. Nothing really happens, no apparent therapeutic benefit. Mindbloom says “the medicine is still working” even if it doesn’t produce any noticeable effect but this is debatable. Mindbloom protocol tells you to hold the RDT’s for 7 minutes which many argue is not long enough for adequate absorption. So this is likely why so many people end up with a much higher dose. This is obviously a problem because people are paying for the therapeutic benefit of 6 sessions and only getting a therapeutic benefit in 1-4 sessions I’d assume. Everyone is going to be different of course but I’m not a big guy and if 200mg, and 400mg did nothing for me I assume these doses following the Mindbloom protocol won’t do much for anyone else. Another issue with these tablets is the total inconvenience and distraction they cause when this experience is supposed to be about “letting go”. It’s very hard to let go when you are stuffing 4-6 tablets in your mouth (cause they’ll send you 12x 200mg tablets and when inevitably it isn’t strong enough they’ll have you build up to 800mg using 200mg tablets). These tablets are supposed to dissolve in about 20 seconds a clinician told me, but they 100% do not in my experience. So you are swishing around these tablets trying to get them to dissolve within 7 minutes and also hoping an adequate amount gets absorbed while also trying not to get any on the back of your tongue so you don’t swallow it. On my last session using 1200mg (6 tablets) this was nearly impossible and because I finally got some moderate effects it was really a hassle and sort of mind bending to get everything spit out at the 7 minute mark and it really just ruined the whole experience. It’s just not the way a person should be going into this experience. I don’t have a lot of experience with ketamine but I have experience with traditional psychedelic medicine and the way Mindbloom is doing this is terrible for promoting any ease of “letting go”. I think this contributes to a significant number of the bad reviews along with the tablets simply not being absorbed. Yet another issue with the tablets is even when I did get effects using 1200mg, I have a feeling the effects were not as they are in a traditional therapeutic setting using IV or nasal spray. I’ve done a lot of research and I did not have the typical 45 minute experience. In every session that I have had effects, they peak for around 10 minutes and then I’m left just kind of out of it for 35 minutes or so. I assume this also has to do with the medicine being absorbed weird in the mouth or not enough of it being absorbed in the first place. Something is off. The fact that these tablets are absorbed so poorly in so many people, and then in some people they seem to be absorbed better, it creates further issues with the whole “letting go” aspect of this therapy. If you have 1200mg in your mouth and you don’t know if 10% is being absorbed or 30%, you are really rolling the dice with your consciousness. You have no idea what you are in for, you don’t have a solid idea of the dose you are taking, and with a dissociative drug like ketamine where you might get a bit forgetful it helps to know exactly what you took and how much in order to calm any nerves and get back to the therapeutic experience. It is disappointing that Mindbloom doesn’t seem to be thinking of any of these things and it really made me feel like I am just buying a fancy app, eye mask, box to hold the drugs, and way too much ketamine that will essentially be wasted in a spit cup. The whole experience thus far has been quite frustrating to be honest and I’m clearly not alone. Other less important issues. They send a wrist blood pressure monitor, the least accurate type of monitor! Why? The meeting with guide after the first session, ruins the first session by filling it with a deadline to worry about.

Mindbloom is a business, they are not healthcare professionals. Their primary objective is to profit at the expense of targeting a vulnerable population. They falsely advertise new client services at $99. This covers your initial meeting with a provider to see if you’re eligible. During this meeting the provider asks you leading questions to result in you being deemed eligible regardless of your medical history. You then pay $359 to get the “medication.” Nobody will have a conversation with you directly to let you know this will be charged 3 times to your credit card they’ve saved and what started as a $99 program will end up costing you $1,600. They deliberately market their services in a way to make these costs hidden and deceiving. The program in itself was less than remarkable, the low dose dissolving ketamine tablets have a 20% bioavailability compared to intranasal at 50% and intravenous at 100%, so your experience will be incredibly mild for an incredibly high cost. Your “guide” you meet with will offer little to nothing but nodding and agreeing to what you say during your meetings. And that about concludes the results of the program. Do not waste your money! Go to a real clinic with medical professionals who have basic ethical values and interest in their patients well-being. Again, with Mindbloom you are nothing but a credit card number.

Way too expensive and details of extra cost are not obvious

No results I haven't had any results after 4 sessions. The medication dose has not been strong enough to do anything. I have felt completely normal during each session.

Dosing is completely up & down like compounding not putting active ingredients in 😡

Discrepancies in the quantity of tablets that were sent, even when I showed the package with the quantity labeled not matching what Mindbloom said was sent. I was told I had memory loss and that the package they labeled was incorrect. No proof was provided or any further support.
Paul
The support was too disjointed and the medicine was not effective.
