The parent company is smartfares which has negative reviews and they will book your tickets and include hidden charges towards the end. They will say that the flight schedule has changed and will charge you 125$ extra per person to reissue you the ticket. They will usually give you cheap tickets and then it will include the new hidden fees. Do not recommend going through them.

Terrible experience so far
Terrible experience so far. Braxton from MilitaryFares is one of the worst individuals I have EVER dealt with. We booked a flight for Iceland Air and "Jr" was added to my son's name when they booked the flight. Because I booked through them, I could not change the name myself. I was told to contact Military Fares to correct the issue. Iceland Air made it seem like it was no big deal but that they had to be contacted through Military Fares to fix it. Braxton with Military fares pushed back at every turn. All I needed him to do was fix the name. He lectured me on how it was my fault and that they had to put "Jr" for my son because of having the same first and last name. He told me that I should have put the middle name on their website. While speaking with him, I pulled the website up. There are no blocks to put a middle name. Only first and last. Braxton told me that everyone knows that on a plane ticket that you put your middle name right after the first name in the same block. I told him why would I do that or anyone when the block specifically says "First Name". Either way, all I needed him to do was to change the name. When asked to speak with a manager/supervisor, he said stated "managers don't take calls". I asked him to contact Iceland Air to correct the name. He made it seem like I was asking him to fly a space shuttle. I sent an email with the information to correct for Iceland Air. He focused on the fact that I provided all legal names for my family to include the middle names so that there was no issue when he called Iceland Air. He literally said he was only going to ask about removing the "Jr" on my son's ticket and not deal with anything else. My wife got on the phone because I was done at this point. He stated initially it would take 2-3 hours for a response and then 5-6 hours. He for some reason jumped ahead and stated that he would be cancelling our tickets if Iceland Air did not remove the Jr. We never asked for that. He continued to argue with us and not let us speak and made a small issue feel like such a mountain. At this point I am pretty certain he will just be making an excuse up and cancelling our tickets based on how reluctant he was to do his job. I have never used a travel agency and I'm almost certain I will not in the future. The level of talking down to was astonishing and I am very surprised and disappointed that GOVX has partnered with them and appears they did not do a better job vetting them.

⭐☆☆☆☆ UPDATE REVIEW
⭐☆☆☆☆ UPDATE REVIEW
This company performed so poorly that I actually logged into a second Gmail account just so I could leave an update.
If you haven’t read my original review, the short version is that MilitaryFares failed to notify me that my wife’s reservation had been canceled, failed to notify me that my flight had been canceled, and left me spending five hours driving and roughly $100 in diesel fuel and hours on the phone trying to sort out a mess entirely of their own making.
After all of that, I was “generously” offered $50 in compensation.
For perspective, I lost more than that just driving to the airport for a flight that no longer existed.
I informed the employee that the offer was unacceptable and spent another day and a half attempting to reach a reasonable resolution directly with the company. Every attempt was met with delays, excuses, and an apparent inability to connect me with anyone empowered to make decisions.
Eventually, I informed them that I was done playing the game. I gave them until 5:00 p.m. to resolve the issue fairly or I would initiate a chargeback for services not provided.
Funny thing happened.
The moment a credit card company became involved, MilitaryFares suddenly discovered a sense of urgency.
Unfortunately for them, the deadline came and went, so I followed through and initiated the chargeback exactly as I said I would.
At 9:30 p.m.—more than four hours after the deadline—I received a call offering $200 in compensation. I told the representative that sounded fair and informed him that I would attempt to cancel the chargeback. Thankfully, my bank allowed me to do so.
Which brings us to today.
My wife’s ticket was canceled on June 15. The refund should have been processed long ago. Yet somehow, I’m still waiting.
What I’ve learned from this experience is that customer service at MilitaryFares appears to operate on a very simple principle: your problem is not important until your bank gets involved.
So today I gave them the same ultimatum regarding the missing refund. We’ll see if they take it more seriously this time.
At this point, if I had a dying relative on the opposite side of the country and MilitaryFares offered me a free ticket to get there, I’d grab a pogo stick and start bouncing. It would probably be more reliable, and at least the pogo stick would keep me informed when it changed direction.

Horrible customer service...
Horrible customer service.... got the runaround paid in U.S. currency... they paid using some kind of foreign funds,so the air agency in this case United wouldn't even discuss with me changing flights... even though the flights are an entire month and a half out. I would never use Military Fares again.. so long as I live... and would highly recommend to anyone considering using their service avoid it as though it had the plague. Horrible experience!
