Hi Tawny, We are always looking for environmentally friendly packaging, so we appreciate your feedback. We actually have someone on our team who is exclusively working on finding the best packaging solutions available. As you already know, it is quite difficult to avoid plastics although that is what we are working towards and hope to implement plastic free packaging by 2019! All of the packaging materials we use come from post-consumer recycled materials and are recyclable. We try to reuse as much of our incoming packaging as repurposed materials for outgoing shipments (paper, wraps, boxes, etc.) For Mighty Fixes, we use poly mailers, padded paper envelopes, and cardboard boxes. Fortunately, the poly bags we currently use can be recycled, but may need to be dropped off at a pickup location. You can find one in your area with this link: https://www.plasticfilmrecycling.org/ The packing peanuts we use are made from 100% corn starch and are compostable and biodegradable! Hi Emily, I'm glad we were able to connect via email to resolve this issue and refund you for your items. Generally, we do charge replacement fees for packages that have been marked as delivered but have not been received if we are alerted outside of a 48 hour time frame of stated or estimated delivery by the carrier. Once a package leaves our warehouse, we have no control over delivery, so do ask customers to keep an eye on the tracking and alert us if there are any issues. Within 48 hours, we are able to replace items at no additional fee, assuming the shipping address provided is correct. This time frame gives the carrier the best chance of recovering the package if it was mis-delivered as well. Hope this clarifies our reshipping guidelines for future orders. Hi Lauren, Thank you for sharing your feedback and for trying out the MightyFix subscription. Sometimes, transitioning from conventional items to eco-friendly ones can take some getting used to as they might perform in different ways. We love hearing feedback and our customer service team is eager to help you get the most out of each Fix by providing additional usage tips and details and context about the importance of each Fix product and why we've curated it as an essential component to healthy sustainable living. All of the FIx items in our lineup retail between $10 to $16 plus we offer free shipping for these items to customers in teh 48 contiguous states. We are still a relatively small company so do not have the same margins that superstores like Walmart, Target and Amazon are able to offer. We purchase all or inventory directly from the manufacturers and are obligated to MAP pricing (minimum advertised pricing) that is set by the distributor/manufacturer meaning we cannot offer it at a lower price than what they allow. Generally this price is slightly higher that what the manufacturer offers as their own selling price to ensure secondary vendors don't undermine their own sales. Superstores that purchase in extremely high volumes or use third party clearance sellers are subject to different pricing regulations which is why they are able to offer lower prices. We always extend best pricing available to our customers and our Mighty Fix Members also get access to our Member Only Deals which include special pricing on certain items that we negotiate with the manufacturers.
