Honor your word or I am leaving, Metro by T-Mobile
I am incredibly frustrated with my recent experience with Metro by T-Mobile. I left my previous carrier to escape a nightmare situation, only to end up "out of the frying pan and into the fire" with this company. I did my homework and signed up for a promotion advertised as a 6-month plan for $120. There was a discrepancy on the website, so I went into a Metro store where I received completely inconsistent information. The first representative didn't seem educated on the promotion at all. The second representative explicitly told me that after the initial 6 months, I would be able to renew the $120 plan again. Come to find out, this was false—the plan is strictly a one-time offer. If I had been given the correct information, I would have just chosen their standard $25/month plan from the start. To make matters worse, phone support has been a nightmare. One representative promised they would note my account to smoothly transition me to the $25 plan after my 6 months are up. When I called back the next day to confirm, the next agent was incredibly vague and couldn't clearly verify that this was actually on my account. The representatives both in-store and on the phone are poorly trained and unknowledgeable. If Metro by T-Mobile does not honor their commitment to transition me to the $25 plan when my six months are up, I will definitely be leaving them immediately. Very poor customer service.
