My Metro nightmare
I got Metro because its on the T-mobile network which is the only thing available in my rural area. I have had nothing but lies and the run around. First it was all about selling me a phone. They told me I could not use the high end, Android 14, 5g phone I own because they say its "off market". Then they sent me a cheap useless Samsung A15. It never worked correctly but when I went to put the SIM card in my real, working phone I found the SIM card locked to the IMEI of the phone they sent me. To change the SIM to another phone I am supposed to pay 25.00!! No other carrier does this!! I checked with all the big one and the FCC. I can verify no other carrier does this. Its just a practice for money grabbing. So I told them I wanted to return the phone and cancel the service. They gave me the run around and first told me they I would have to return the phone to Samsung. then they would return it, then no I had to go to a store. The nearest store is 160 miles round trip. I went to the store and she first told me she did not have to help me because the stores are only for sales. She refused to offer customer service or to call customer service while I was in the store. Then she basicly told me it was her lunch hour and I had to leave. Effectively throwing me out of the store. I have since been to 3 other metro stores while traveling for work. All of them tell me the same thing. They only do sales. They refuse to help in any way. I have also found out since beginning my service that the "perks" that are supposed to be available to Metro customers are not available on my Promo plan. I have made an executive complaint to T-mobile and they say they will get back to me. I am not holding my breath. So almost EVERYTHING they say in their fancy, slick advertising is a lie. In my personal experience its all YADA YADA YADA. Unfortunately its the only thing available out here.
