I've waited almost a month to give an honest review, so it wouldn't be done out of anger. Now that I've calmed down, I'm able to give a fair and honest review about the service I received. I'll start by saying I paid Merry Maids of Conyers $630 for a move-in deep cleaning to my new home, which had not been lived in for quite some time. I wish I had taken pictures. My husband and I both were disgusted with the so-called deep cleaning we paid them to do. To start the Refrig. was NOT cleaned inside, the plastic bins had food particles in them. The oven had burned food stuck on bottom and on the glass window of the door. The stove top fan area had food and old grease stuck on it from years of buildup. The window seals throughout the house were dusty. The glass windows in my kitchen cabinet doors were not cleaned well, I could see they made an attempt, but they were all smudged. The front of the dishwasher had food that had dripped down it. I could go on but I won't. This review was to give people a little insight as to the type of deep cleaning service you get for $630 with this company. The one positive thing I will mention is they did vacuum the carpet throughout the house you could see the vacuum cleaner marks. I tried to reach out to the initial contact person in the Conyers office twice to discuss my displeasure with the service I received. I left her messages both times letting her know I wanted to speak with her about the service. As of today 11/8/25, I have not heard back from her. I suppose since they've got my money, they don't need to speak with me. I used their service 5 years before and was less than totally satisfied, but I decided to give them a second chance. I even told the person I spoke with, that this was my second time using their service, she thanked me for choosing them again. Well, much to my dismay I'm very sorry I did. I feel I was SCAMMED out of my money; the service wasn't worth the amount of money they charged me. NO I will never use their service again and NO I do not recommend their service to anyone else, so be warned!!

DOS 07/26/24, Oviedo. Kind of long but i am VERY frustrated that i got charged $565 when i had a personal budget of $350 for a house cleaning. MerryMaids ended up charging me $565 for a house cleaning with a $50 credit after my complaint. This is an amount that I can not afford at the moment. I needed a move out clean and I looked around several cleaning service companies and MerryMaids was the most expensive of all of them. Majority of the quotes I received were in $325-$400 range. I found a cleaning service company to do my entire home for $300 on Saturday. MerryMaids ended up calling me Friday morning to offer their services which i declined because i had a company for $300, then they told me they can match that price for 4 hours of cleaning and they could clean that day. At the end of this cleaning I got charge for 3hrs and 45 mins worth of cleaning x2 for each person that came to clean which I overlooked they charge per person. additionally when they told me they needed more time, which ended up being close to 2 hrs, they did not advice me it was going to be another almost $300. For context, my house was completely emptied and by no means in horrible condition. I have videos to prove the condition of my home. When i initially called them they had a house cleaning standard package of $335 and a detailed package at $481 which was over my budget but if I knew i was going to end up paying close to $600 of course i would have selected $481 price which they said doesn’t cover cabinets and appliances which i then would not have accepted their service because the cost was too high for me. the overall house cleaning was acceptable, I still needed to re-do the kitchen floors but in my opinion not a $600 cleaning, which again does hurt my pockets at this moment because it was almost double what my budget was. not a happy customer which i did voice to them and got a $50 credit only.

Great service specification on the promotional/ contract leaflet. They price for the job, rather than the amount of time on site; we had high expectations given how the manager described their approach when they paid a site visit. First clean was quite thorough; two people stayed for 2.5 hours approximately so five hours to clean a four bed house. That seemed reasonable. Next clean was shorter and less thorough, areas missed. Gave them the benefit of the doubt ... Third clean - we were significantly short-changed on the time they spent on site and many more areas were missed altogether. The maids also chatted away incessantly which was very noisy and distracting with us both working from home. We raised the poor standard with the manager and sent in photographs to show what we meant. For the price quoted (just short of £100), we expected a professionally executed and consistently thorough job, resulting in a house that looks and smells clean and fresh. I would rather do it myself again until I can find a team who will show pride in their work and do it consistently well otherwise it is pointless when I have to go over it myself afterwards. We terminated the agreement and are on the look out for someone else.

The initial clean and the first two regular cleans were good, if expensive. The third one was awful, missing a lot of areas and only doing others in a cursory manner. I worked out it was over £40 per person-hour into the bargain! Management said they would put it right, but a brief visit from one maid still left the shower uncleaned. After that the management did not even try to apologise or defend. Did return my keys promptly though.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with management of this company (not with cleaning). My cleaning slots were often cancelled last minute. Management didn’t seem to care they were cancelling a service I had agreed to and really needed.

Merry Maids provides excellent services and quality work. However, their work environment is so toxic and the management team is so number driven that they don’t care about their employees which makes for a high turnover rate and unhappy customers when they lose their regular cleaning lady. This job is physically demanding and you have to care about your employees and their well-being for them to carry out their duties to the best of their ability. I’d recommend their service depending on your location but never employment. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
