Looks like Merchant Maverick is not that "unbiased" as they state. There are many complaints about unreasonably low review ratings here on TrustPilot and other websites. It seems like they play with review ratings depending on how much they get paid by the reviewed software competitors. For example. There's a CS-Cart review published on Merchant Maverick. If you read the review, it is mostly a good review but the overall rating is very low. The rating of 2.5 disagrees with the content and the mood of the review. Seems like someone paid them to lower the rating. We've tried to contact Merchant Maverick multiple times to discuss the CS-Cart review, update it, correct some facts and inaccuracies. They never replied. I think that's because their reviews are sponsored by competitors.

Thank you for your message. The writers and editors at Merchant Maverick create original content over which partners have zero editorial control. Our target audience is small business owners who still might be concerned with the issues addressed in the review, namely: fees, a lack of customer support, and a lack of integrations.

I enjoy reading about the possibilities…
I enjoy reading about the possibilities with payment processors and small business advice. I am in Canada and would like to have more content directed to our merchants. Do you have any input from Canadian sources to make your readers understand Canada a bit better.

Hi Stephen, Thanks so much for this feedback -- It has definitely been relayed to the entire Merchant Maverick team. Historically, since we are based in the U.S., most of our research tends to be on offerings available in the U.S.. That said, we have been working hard on growing our Canadian content and have just recently published a few new articles that may be more in line with what you are hoping to see more of. Also, you may have tried this, but we do have a search bar on our site which should populate several pages of content specific to small businesses in Canada, though we know it can be difficult to decipher sometimes. Either way, you are absolutely correct--We have far less Canadian content, and we appreciate you calling it out. We hear you! I was looking for free or reasonably priced accountancy software for small business I found their suggestions and reviews extremely helpful

I use Merchant Maverick to research small business needs. From credit card processing, to POS systems, to credit cards and loans. They do a great job of reviewing multiple companies so you can make the best decision for your business
