MemberPressReviews of memberpress.com

I've been using Memberpress for a couple of years. It was relatively easy to set up and can be customized almost any way you require (though I have needed some tech support with more detailed customizations). Support is helpful and apart from some significant issues porting members from an old website to a new one, they have always been able to help me fix problems quickly.

Pretty new to MemberPress. We do administration for several associations and had used another platform previously. We saw that MemberPress supported integration with most of the other platforms that we use for these associations. Unlike most of the other options out there, the pricing helps us provide this for smaller associations. I would have liked it to focus more on the data and membership than on site access but it will do the trick. Took a little bit to get it configured.

Predatory cancellation policies. I'll suggest considering one of their competitors. We used their service lightly for about two years. Unfortunately, halfway through our yearly renewal we had setbacks and had to cancel the service. While their policies does allow for a refund 14 days after renewal, I asked for a pro rata refund as I was no longer going to use the service. Note I was only asking for a refund for the period I wasn't going to use their service. While they are fully within their right, this is the exact type of behaviour and demeanour that shows the culture they operate within. They had a chance to step up but chose not to do so. While I can't comment on every feature of their product as I didn't use it, their money-grabbing tactics left me with a sour memory. ------ Update - 6/12/24 For the sake of transparency. Memberpress attempted to remove this review and flagged it for "containing defamatory content". Trustpilot said NO and allowed it to stand, rightfully so. There is nothing in my review that is defamatory, and it is just a blatant attempt to remove negative feedback. Rather, I welcome the company to make things right and improve how they deal with parting customers. --- Update 9/12/24 Instead of commenting or contacting me, Memberpress contacted Trustpilot (again!) asking to take down the review saying it wasn't genuine. "memberpress.com has flagged your review because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience." The review was removed temporarily, and I was asked to submit invoices, which I gladly did. That is all you need to know... ---- Update 20/12/24 I was subsequently contacted by Curt (assuming a senior), with whom I reached a satisfactory resolution. As a result, I am upping my score.

I really enjoy using Memberpress to develop course content to provide to our customers. There are a couple of things that I think can be improved on though. Firstly, it would be great if a progress report could be produced for a specific member, membership or just a selected group of members or memberships. This could just report on the courses started and the progress percentage per course. Secondly, it would be great if members had access to reset their own quiz progress.

Software is well thought out and stays out of other tools expertise (page builder / theme / specialist) Addons are weaker, sometimes significantly, than core MembePress. Some setting are well hidden. Knowledge base/help search is weak. We have been unable to find reference to MemberPress names of settings and features. Some help/knowledge base seems out-of-date. That might be an impression not fact. Support is mediocre. System obscures how to request help. We have learned to expect help elsewhere and to run into assumptions of how a system should be built (multi language / forms). We have observed a correlation between difficulty of contacting support and quality.

Excellent plugin, lots of extensions.
