Be careful about the subscription they sneak in there. They can’t cancel anything once the subscription order goes through and they will not refund anything. Didn’t sign up for any subscription, they just sign you up if you order anything. Absolutely ridiculous.

WASTE OF MONEY
WASTE OF MONEY, my dogs usually like lamb anything with lamb flavor or lamb meat but they didn't even eat one piece. I cook fresh cooked meat or liver every day for them but this food they didn't even look at it they both turned their faces. I was hoping they will like this food and i don't have to cook for them any more but frankly this food has 85% vegetables and maybe that too maybe 15% meat. I had to throw it all away cause it will take a lot of space in my fridge what is the point when they are not eating it. What a waste of money. My dogs are used to having freshly cooked lamb or liver this didn't interest them, I tried giving them directly of course I kept it to become a little closer to room temperature then I tried to cook it and see if they will eat it but after attempting both these methods, I said let me separate the meat and see if they eat the meat, I took 2 cups and tried separating the lamb meat and honestly the proportion of vegies and meat was 85% vegies and 15% meat then also they did not eat the meat and then I tried cooking a little of the meat but still they didn't like it cause I guess it had the flavor of the veggies. So finally I throw the whole thing out. If I could give no star at all I would. Maybe other dogs love it cause their owners have never tried cooking for their dogs real meat. I work 8 hours a day but I still find time to cook for my dogs fresh meat or liver that too the liver i make it barbeque for them, fresh every day. Please don't waste your money for falls advertisement.

Unreliable fulfillment, no accountability from leadership, and a sick dog.
Unreliable fulfillment, no accountability from leadership, and a sick dog.
I was a Maev subscriber for several months feeding my 100 lb, 9.5 year old Great Dane Gilda. The fulfillment was never reliable. Wrong dates, unexplained delays, and zero proactive communication when shipments were late. Every time a shipment was delayed, I had to bridge her diet with other food, which caused repeated bouts of GI distress in a senior large breed dog.
The final straw was an order confirmed on May 18th that sat unfulfilled for over a week with no communication. When I followed up repeatedly, I was told it had shipped. It had not. The FedEx label was created only after I escalated again, and the order did not arrive until June 2nd.
Customer support, specifically Samantha, was genuinely kind and responsive throughout. The failure was entirely at the leadership level. When escalated to management, the response was a $100 credit. That was their answer for a senior dog suffering repeated diet disruptions due to their own fulfillment failures.
I have since canceled my subscription, disputed the charge, and transitioned to another provider. I filed complaints with both the Texas and Colorado Attorneys General.
The food itself is good. The company behind it is not ready to be trusted with your dog’s health.

My dog got super sick right away
My dog got super sick right away, not only diarrhea, but blood in poop, and she was vomiting. I had to get prescription food and take her to the vet so she would get better. They wouldn’t give me a refund on the bag on top of it.

Dog HATED food. Company refused refund despite risk-free purchase claim
I recently purchased a bag of Maev for my dog. He's a picky eater, but Maev advertised a risk free purchase and boasted about winning over picky dogs. The smallest amount I could buy was over $100. I was super excited to receive it and followed all instructions to try and incorporate the food into my dog's diet. No matter what I tried, he would not come close to it. Anything it touched, he treated as contaminated.
It happens, some dogs will just not like the food. That said, when I contacted Maev to ask for a refund (based on their risk free purchase advertisement), I was repeatedly denied.
My dog didn't like the food. Whatever. I can't blame Maev for that, but the at the very least I expect them to respect their risk free purchase advertisement.
I'm totally disappointed. If your dog is at all a picky eater, don't bother. It's just not worth the risk.

I gave a tiny amount
I gave a tiny amount - even under what was recommended for two of my three dogs and $1600 later, with wicked horrible bloody diarrhea for days, a VET ER visit, a trip to my vet on top of that, loads of meds, fluid injections, and two precious pups VERY sick, I threw the bag away. This was from two applications of food. I have still had no response from MAEV after two emails and read other consumers had dogs become sick like this - MAEV shows no response nor do they care. Apparently from what I am reading the quality of the MAEV food has gone down dramatically from their original method of prep. They don't respond to consumers so I assume they don't care ... BAD BAD BAD company to take a risk with your pets.

Complete waste!!!
I don’t recommend this product to no one! Very poor quality, the coast is 5-10 times more expensive than coast of a product, it’s definitely a scam. So I have 4 dogs, 2 huskies, 1 Labrador and 1 German shaper , they are all with different appetite and preferences, so they are all refused even a smell of a food. All went to waist! 170$ of a waist!
So customer service rudely refused any help, promised a follow up and completely ignored it. Well, it’s ok, I will take it. But it’s a very very bad business model.

Ordered this food and was very late on…
Ordered this food and was very late on getting delivered. Once it was here it was in poor unusable shape. I even tried to feed it to my two pups and they weren’t having it. They picked around in it but after four days of trying, I had to put them back on their regular food. The constant back and forth for more than a month in email got me no where. I plan to work with my CC company simply because Maev requested so much from me. To try feeding my pups in different ways and requesting pics of the rotten food in hopes to settle our dispute but after complying to all THEIR requests, I’m out nearly $200 of food my pups won’t touch. Please do not order from this company. They are not supported locals in customer service. You’ll email and converse with people in other countries! That says enough. And no matter how much you complain, they will only ignore you after you’ve proved their product a big hot mess.
