I worked with Dr. Ruby through the 2023-2024 MD application cycle and cannot recommend him highly enough. Throughout each stage of the process, he proactively scheduled Zoom calls to explain what to expect, checked in on my progress, and promptly edited any essay or update letter I sent his way. As someone who typically struggles with interviews, I found his guidance invaluable. He provided examples of how to structure my responses and conducted mock interviews, offering constructive criticism while recognizing my unique strengths. His encouragement gave me the confidence I needed before interviewing. Ultimately, I was accepted to nearly every school I interviewed at, including several of my reach schools. This success would not have been possible without Dr. Ruby.

Dr. Nelson was extremely helpful in my medical school application! He was very polite, kind, compassionate, and understanding. The conversations with him did not feel robotic and I felt that I was able to be as honest as possible with him. He really helped me keep up with deadlines when we planned how and when we would apply to medical school, as well as MCAT logistics combined with volunteering opportunities and personal statement assistance. If you are hesitant on which advisor to choose, I would definitely say pick Dr. Nelson if you are lucky enough to get him as an advisor! Very grateful to him!
