Unfortunately I bought an 11k sofa and have been so disappointed in the quality the feathers are everywhere and pike through at an overwhelming rate and the company was no help when I reached out . This is not normal if a high end sofa as I have owned several . Some feathers is normal but we are talking an hour after removing they are back and everywhere . Unacceptable and I got a quote for an upholsterer and they said 2000 dollars to do properly because the down ticking is not good quality and not double weaved . So disappointed . I wish there was a way to attach videos to save others from this kind of mistake

Thank you for taking the time to share this. We're genuinely sorry for the frustration you've experienced and this isn't the standard we hold for our products. We want to let you know that your feedback lines up with something we have corrected internally. Your sofa was completed as a custom, pre-production order, but prior to our official roll out we changed the down ticking/liner used for feather retention. Since your order was not part of our standard process, we missed that you received a version that was unknowingly different.
That doesn't undo the experience you've had, and we're working to resolve it to your satisfaction with a full remake or replacement pieces. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Terrible customer service. Misrepresenting delivery dates. No notification of an additional month delay. Hypocritical communication.
I've been trying to get my furniture order for weeks now. First, their e-comm platform wouldn't work in my browser. Then, they tried to charge an astronomical shipping fee that made so sense, and they couldn't even explain why it deviated so wildly from their own website information, though they attempted to. Fabric samples were late to arrive. Meanwhile, I was getting pressure emails to "hurry up and don't miss the 10% off sale". Then they extended and increased to 15%; meanwhile, they were emailing me directly that I should hurry to get my 10%...like they didn't know I might have seen the separate marketing for 15% and weren't willingly matching their own new promo.
Finally place my order after confirming that their estimated delivery dates will work for me, then days later, they email to say that the fabric I chose for my sofa isn't available until Sept...not June as promised on their website. They said the fabric I chose for chairs was on schedule. Ordered new fabric samples, chose new color, then they said that was also delayed until Sept...in fact the whole fabric line was, they just hadn't bothered to say so the first time and let me waste time ordering more samples that would generate the same problem.
So then I changed my sofa order to a new fabric type, then asked when my chairs would arrive. Turns out they had stopped my chair order, which was in a fabric they said they DID have, without letting me know and without giving me the option to split my order and get my chairs ahead of the sofa that had the fabric issue. They had no explanation for why my chairs had been pulled out of production and why they didn't disclose it.
Finally, they agreed to put the chairs back into their queue ahead of the sofa...which they should have done anyway since that is a shipping option they offer all along and due to a series of their mistakes. I complained again, so they offered a $500 refund for all the trouble, which they then did not actually refund until I complained about that too.
Now, I should have had the chairs delivered this week, but Medley did not email about them, no contact. I reached about AGAIN. They are now saying it will be another month. Apparently, the materials they said they did have in stock, are not actually in stock. This is not how supply chain works. Orders that are scheduled weeks and months in advance are typically covered by materials that are locked in so that estimates can be fairly accurate. This is not lockdown year when manufacturing and shipments were knocked offline. No organized, reputable company has this happening now.
I asked to escalate above their customer service person, Kevin, and Kevin would not put me in contact with anyone above him.
This company is a mess. They seem to have no real idea when they will even have materials to manufacture their own products, yet they keep running "sales" and keep publishing delivery estimates that they are not able to hold to. It's a lot of false marketing.
I have no review on the furniture itself because I have no idea when they will actually deliver. They have charged me for products weeks ago that they haven't made yet. Many companies don't charge until your product is either going into production or shipping. Can they not afford their own supply ordering without taking my money? Did I just loan them money that I could have been earning on?
If they spent half the effort on their product and customer service that they do on their content marketing, this would be a wildly more responsible company. Instead, it's a mess.

Co-owner of Medley here. I’ve spoken with this customer and would like to provide a summary of my response.
We sincerely regret the inconveniences caused and value this customer's feedback. The order issues mentioned were due to a recent production process change implemented by our manufacturing partner and unexpected delays with this customer’s chosen upholstery fabric. We acknowledge our shortcomings in communicating these changes and delays effectively, as well as the confusion caused by a technical glitch with our shipping fee calculation.
While manufacturing changes pose challenges for us as a small business, we're committed to rapid improvement and delivering authentic, personalized customer care. To minimize future setbacks, we've implemented these upgrades in the past quarter:
1. Updated our website to reflect more accurate and dynamic lead times for upholstery fabrics.
2. Removed fabric collections that have contributed to delays.
3. Increased our on-hand fabric stock at our manufacturing facility to mitigate unexpected delays.
We're personally overseeing this customer's order until it arrives and they are fully satisfied with their purchase. Our team is dedicated to ensuring a positive experience for all our customers, and we appreciate the opportunity to improve our services.

still waiting
I was excited and knew it would be a long wait, but maybe Medley had figured out its timing since all the bad reviews are about how long things take. I ordered mid-Feb., and it was supposed to be ready to ship in mid-April. I reached out the week the couch was supposed to be finished and received a 2-3 week delay until it was prepared to be shipped. And now I am waiting five or six more weeks. It seems to me they should be able to estimate a little closer to the actual finish date of a product. I would have been happy if I knew, but now this experience has soured my view towards the company. Let’s hope there are no more delays. Update…waiting another 2 to 3 more weeks for fabric to come in. They have given a small discount to soften the bad news but still waiting.

waited 6 months for sofa
Yep, us too!! Ordered sectional last summer and JUST got it. NOT worth the wait and not all that apologetic during the process. God knows where they are making them now or why this process is so slow. DO NOT BUY unless you want to wait 6 months. The date on the order said it would arrive mid September.

We had some significant and unexpected delays with production timing, but these were addressed. The sectional from their order (they also got a Media Center that was made and delivered about 3 weeks after ordered) from August 2023 was part of the batch that was most affected with delays. We've since ramped up production at the Los Angeles manufacturing facility where this sectional was made, as well as our other furniture made there using innovative natural materials like latex and wool. Our lead times are currently coming in around 7-9 weeks, and this will come down a bit further over the upcoming couple of months. Our pieces using more standard materials made in North Carolina are at a 5-6 week lead time consistently. The extreme nature of the delays was a one time unexpected occurrence as we made a massive shift in our production partnerships to help get lead times down, and we did our best to communicate the updates along the way. We are sincerely sorry that this order got caught in the worst of the delays, and completely understand the frustration. We reached out to connect with the customer as well.

I am so disappointed with this company
I am so disappointed with this company. I ordered a love seat and ottoman in July….and here it is FEBRUARY of the following year and I AM STILL WAITING for them to complete my order. One delay after another….one excuse after another. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I do NOT recommend.

Hello, Travis, one of the owners of Medley here. I have an email thread with this customer, and wanted to post an update as well to provide more context. To address an increase in orders and related production capacity, we made some significant changes with our manufacturing facilities in the middle of last year. The onboarding process took longer than expected, resulting in some unforeseen delays which we have now been able to catch up on with lead times back to what is listed on our website.
Unfortunately, this customer’s order was placed during the time that was most affected by these delays. This customer's sofa shipped last December, and this further delay was in regards to an ottoman that shipped two days after this posting along with a refund to try and help out with the experience. We're continuing to further improve our systems and reduce our lead times, striving to provide an excellent product along with great customer service. Ultimately, we hope this customer enjoys their Medley furniture for many years to come.

Delay After Delay
I made my original purchase on June 30, 2023 which had an original estimated ship date of September 5th. Then I received an update at the end of August that it was estimated to ship September 18th. Now you all are saying an additional 6 week delay to ship October 30th!? That is 4 months from my original purchase date and 2 months delayed from my original ship date.
I had previously communicated with your Sales team that we purchased a new home back in June and have had no sofa or furniture to sit on while we await your furniture to arrive. When I received word of the last delay, I also let the Sales team know that we had family arriving at the end of September and were in need of our furniture. They said it should not be a problem and we’re targeting to have it arrive around September 25th. Now we’re going to have family at our new home with no place to sit.

Really bad experience
After we paid, it took Medley nine months to manufacture the couch. Then it took three weeks for them to deliver the couch, and the delivery company was repeatedly rude on the phone. When the couch arrived, it was much lower quality than we expected, so we initiated a return. The company then sent multiple rounds of emails trying to pressure us to keep the couch. We're still waiting to get our money back. If you care about your time or money, it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Someone asked me if it came from IKEA
I cannot accept a $7000+ sofa where the seat cushions slide out when you sit on it... and they are not very comfortable, if you sit for a long movie... The overall design is not sophisticated. Something is off... it looks like it was designed on a computer and not tested enough in actual rooms with other furniture... and to top it all off the sofa has a 1/2 inch hole in the top leather...

Hi Carl, we are sorry you were not completely happy with your order. I know we are working on resolving the issues you have, and hopefully we will be able to do so to your satisfaction! We do appreciate feedback on our designs as well.
