I'm sorry to hear of your trouble with your new stethoscope. As mechanical devices it does sometimes happen that 3M Littmann products are defective in one way or another - but this is very rare. Occasionally we see a malformed binaural (tube) which make the sound in one ear louder than the other. Sometimes the stem does not turn smoothly inhibiting the transference or "indexing" of sound from one side of the chestpiece to the other. Most typically, however, these acoustic issues are a matter of fine tuning required for optimum performance. Sorry you were not completely satisfied with your purchase. In instances like this we do ask customers to return the item at their expense. We would issue a refund upon its receipt in its original condition.

Sorry for your trouble with this order. Inventory is always in flux. The wait time can very depending on the item. We're always happy to make a change. The shipping confirmation should go to the email on the order automatically. It can sometimes go to Junk or Spam folders.

Cameron, I'm very sorry for this inexcusable error. While mistakes do occur it is with the "sentimental value" you mentioned in mind that we typically handle engraving services with more care. At Medisave we pride ourselves on our engraving and our customer service - both of which, I am embarrassed to say, have failed you. Amanda, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The signature requirement is the best way to insure proper handling and delivery to our customers. We understand that many of our customers are not available during the day. Each of our carriers provide ways to pre-sign, pick up or even sign remotely online for packages. I’m sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your engraving. Did you send us a Smoke Finished stethoscope for engraving service? The smoke finish can be tricky in that it may appear to have curiously dark spots on the engraving. As it turns out it is a shadow or, more accurately, a dark reflection. If you move the engraving about in bright light you can see that the engraving is consistent all the way around. But held in the way we would normally look at this area of the stethoscope the dark side of the smoke finished bell reflects a dark image on the engraving which the bright engraving (stainless steel base metal) picks up as darker than the rest of the engraving.
