McGee & Co.Reviews of mcgeeandco.com

Delivered furniture without advanced notice, dropped of pallet in driveway left outside……NOT good in Seattle, WA. Who needs furniture left out in the rain sitting on a pallet?

The problem with McGee is that they send you emails about your order without mentioning what they are talking about/what your order is. I have purchased multiple items at one time and I will get an email that something is delayed, but I never know what item they are talking about. Including the email I received to review my order. I have no idea what order it is referring to. I have even sent an email asking for clarification and nothing has changed. It’s very frustrating. My overall experience with McGee is that nothing is shipped quickly. Expect to wait awhile. I did receive several things that were broken and it was pretty easy to get them replaced. The items, once they get here, are good quality/nice items.

I bought the two tier basket and it’s totally crooked- I live in Canada and have to drive an hour to pick up parcels so it’s not worth the hassle to return

The issue w/ your shop app hasn’t been resolved so I haven’t been able to proceed with my purchase

No one confirmed when the item was to be delivered. No one confirmed once it was delivered. The delivery company left a wooden box in the driveway and left.

Recently placed two orders, both placed on February 12 and arriving on February 20 and 21, which is not bad for a company that usually takes a month to ship small items. However, the shipping fees are absolutely ridiculous. Standard shipping fees are equivalent to what most other companies charge for expedited shipping. The quality has not been great with these last two orders. Ordered two of the hand braided jute trivets, one for myself and one as part of a gift. The one I kept for myself was not gift worthy as it has a “tail” of braided jute hanging off of it which I may be able to cut off or tuck in somehow, but would not have knowingly purchased with this defect. I will be returning the ceramic salt and pepper shakers that are now sold out due to the salt shaker arriving with dark splotches on it that will not wash off. Looks like a defect when they were painted and/or glazed. This is not normal pottery imperfections, but an obvious defect. I wish I could post photos. The Cabot salt and pepper shakers have a beautiful fine wood grain in the photos, but only one arrived looking like the picture. The other had a very distinctive wood grain that did not match the first one and a small nick in the wood on top. Would not have intentionally picked out a set of shakers where one looks so much different from the other, but at least in comparison to the defect in the ceramic ones, the differences in the wood grain on the Cabot shakers looks somewhat natural. I’m not loving them so I may still return. The twisted stoneware spoon feels very rough around the edges, but looks okay so I can live with it. Love the look of McGee and Co. products online, but not sure if I can continue ordering anything other than maybe linens. I’m seeing too many inconsistencies with quality.

I placed an order on the 19th of November, it is now the 6th of December, and have heard nothing about the status of my order. Called customer service multiple times, left voicemails, never heard back (which I'm sure you'll see from multiple other reviews, you never actually speak to a rep, you wait on hold for about 5 minutes, then get pushed through to their voicemail.) I'm thoroughly frustrated because not only did I spend hundreds on Christmas ornaments, but now I'm worried they won't even make it by the holiday. Overall, I will not be ordering from McGee & Co again, and if I had known how poor their customer service was (for a company worth over $53 million), I wouldn't have ordered in the first place. Severely disappointed.

Regret ordering Christmas tree from here. Loved the look of the tree and was excited to receive, however no shipping as of yet.I am getting quite nervous that my kids wont have a tree up this year. Stupid mistake ordering from here. So many complaints about shipping, wish I looked it up before ordering. So disappointing especially due to the prestige reputation of the Mcgees. Totally unacceptable and should not continue to sell if shipping is such an issue especially after charging expensive shipping fees. I paid the 60.00 dollars in shipping. please Ship it. please stop advertising so much in my email and work on the shipping of your products for your customers, great job on advertising , poor job on delivery of purchase.
