The only reason I rated the product a 4 instead of a 5 is, because, it is still so new and has some minor quirks to work out. That being said, the product team is very responsive to feedback, and I've already seen a lot of great improvements in the month or so since I've gotten the collar.

Update - 11/22/2025 : My sensor stopped charging and connecting to the app a few days after my below review. After a bit of back and forth a new sensor is on the way. 11/3/2025: The Maven has been so helpful in allowing me to have peace of mind after my dog was diagnosed with degenerative valve disease. It has been helpful in monitoring her breathing rates, and I find the other features fun and interesting as well. Do you have a dog prone to ear infections? The head itch feature could be a huge help in catching that earlier! I love that you can add family members, so my partner is able to view what's going on with her as well. I also feel that the company has been really responsive in helping resolve any issues I've had (mostly just updating to the new wifi-enabled sensor) and has been proactive in reaching out for feedback. I do wish it held charge a bit longer, it lasts about 3-4 days for me, but my Apple Watch has to be charged every single night, so I understand that long battery life is not an easy solve for something collecting data constantly.

Received my 2 sensors, setup was easy. The information provided seems to be accurate, and the app is rather easy to use.

I like the Maven. I wish I knew about Maven in 2017 before my beloved cat passed away. I am learning more about my current cat Jinxy's health, activity, and sleep patterns. I am really glad I did research and found Maven for my Jinxy Thank you! 🙏😊 🐾

I do like the idea behind why Maven was created to monitor your pets health and daily activity. But starting off with getting the collar for my pet there was issues with the sensor collecting data, it being transferred to the app, and some bugs that occurred in the app. Maven customer service has been very helpful with my concerns. It’s too soon to say if this sensor is working out well we haven’t used it for long and need to collect more data to see if this decision for our pet was worth it.
