While I love the MJ product. Their customer service is a stone wall. I used the Gov't discount and then they turn around and hit you with the shipping fee "because shipping isn't free if you get a discount! Told MJ i could get the product cheaper via another vendor... and they just did not care... any company willing to lose a customer over $10 on a $200-300 purchase does not deserve your business.

Nous avons acquis deux paires de lunettes Maui Jim, une pour mon épouse, l'autre pour moi-même. Le confort des verres est indéniable mais la fiabilité est à revoir ( pour ma femme, monture qui s'est rapidement cassée par rupture à l'articulation des branches, pour moi-même verre droit fendu ). Dans le cas de mon épouse, les montures étaient de type souple.Dans mon cas, le fabriquant estime que c'est dû à un choc. Si choc il y a eu , il n'y en a aucune trace visible par un oeil lambda, j'imagine que le fabricant ne ment pas et qu'il a donc dû utiliser un instrument type loupe pour affirmer cela ! Quoi qu'il en soit , et compte tenu du prix très élevé de ces produits, compte tenu de la réputation dont se targue le fabricant, le produit est largement surévaluée par ce manque de fiabilité et cette grande fragilité.

Polarized lenses started delaminating and they do not offer a warranty after 1 year. The replacement cost for the lenses would be $100 for the pair I feel they shoukd stand bend there product better.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience with Maui Jim. Unfortunately, I was informed that the brand does not accommodate goodwill repairs, which was super disappointing. I purchased my glasses around three years ago and used them only for sports activities. While they were certainly well-used, I didn’t expect the lens film to start warping—something I’ve never encountered with other sunglasses, even after extensive and many years of use. Since the issue occurred outside the warranty period, I was told there was nothing that could be done. Given this experience, I’ve decided not to purchase Maui Jim products again and will be considering alternatives like Oakley going forward.

Lenses ok but they come wrapped in 3 layers of single use un-recyclable plastic. Won’t be buying again

I fell in love with a beautiful pair of non-prescription Jim Maui sunglasses… Not sure of the model number? But it was the clear frames and a reddish coating on the lens… Cost almost 300… After a month the screw came out… And my lens fell to the ground getting scratched… While trying to retrieve the lens, my glasses fell again creating a new scratch on the other lens… I find the lenses are pretty much useless and even though they say they are scratch resistant they are not I regret buying them I have since went to another model the Ray-Ban’s which own Jim Maui… they offered support but I still had to pay to send in the glasses, ridiculous.. just do better… there are better brands out there… I go out of my way to tell everybody I know not to buy these glasses

Purchased Hookipa. Blue - non pescription. November 2024. Used it two - three times. Used only recommended tools for cleaning. In March 2025 discovered three little lens scratches. Warrenty just to send and evaluate would cost almost $40. This is $250 glasses. I wrote a review somewhat negative on their web site, and they never published.

purchased Maui Jim prescription sun glasses. I am a low sunglass user. in 2 years the coating on the glasses is coming off. (missed warranty ). No help from place I purchased except to buy new $300 lenses. I have contacted company directly and although kind, would not help or replace or take any responsibility for lens defect (they do make the lenses not a separate company). So don't expect more than 2 years of use. My husband has 20 year old Ray Bans and they look better than the Maui Jims. Very disappointed!
