I have, so far, been very impressed. One of the trouble foods we tested - fresh sliced mushrooms - had been sealed in a mason jar in my fridge for two weeks and had NOT changed! No darkening, no visible discolouring whatsoever. Then I fried them up with onion and they were like fresh! I highly recommend this product. It is easy to use, and works really well!

This is such a clever little gadget! Works exactly as the ad depicts - easy, portable and convenient. I've used the stock pile of canning lids I have on hand both regular and wide mouth. So far the way this prolongs the fridge life of my berries has been the best thing ever! We even took it camping to reseal the berries for a second feed later in the week. Note, raspberries are so tender that they got soft from sitting on each other but they did not spoil. I'd suggest turning the jar on its side. Thanks Mason Genie!

I am a long time canning and freezing lady and the vacuum genie is a great addition to my tools. I ordered one for each of my grown children. I was already storing my produce in mason jars to keep longer and the addition of vacuum sealing made that time even longer . In addition, sealing dry cereals, nuts, chocolate and so much more has made life a lot better. I will add that I tried a cheaper knock off first that quit working and was trashed for the real thing.
