MashvisorReviews of mashvisor.com

There appears to be some helpful information available for free on this site, which is all I wanted. However, the company is displaying a Trustpilot review score of 4.2 on the homepage when the current actual Trustpilot score is 3.9. Update: Mashvisor is no longer displaying Trustpilot reviews on its site.

The data seems to be there, but the portal is difficult to navigate and specific data in rural areas is not readily available. Also it is unclear how often the data is updated.

Update: After 2 weeks of trying to get support, I got a refund. No email response, no communication from support, just a refund. Still, I'm happy and raises the review to 3 stars... ----- After a very convincing demo with the salesperson, I subscribed to the service. The data was inaccurate and I didn't use the system. I tried contacting customer support via the website, email and phone with 0 response!!! Shame on you Mashvisor.

Horrible customer service. I'm a real estate agent, subscribed to the service for 7 months, upgraded my account to use extra features. Cancelled the subscription, was charged twice after cancelling, and continue to receive back/forth messages because they claim to not have an account with my information, yet they've taken my payment for seven months. They ask for my credit card again, then still want additional information. I've turned the entire matter over to AMEX. Product overall provides useful, curated data, more for the general public since there are several realtor accessible programs that provide the same data. The platform and rental values are based solely on Airbnb stats, which makes the data useless in several high-end markets (Kiawah Island, Palm Beach, etc.) where Airbnb is less common.

I was initially excited about Mashvisor but often found the data to be out of date. Many of the recommended homes I found after doing my research were already sold when I checked the MLS. Great concept but to be useful the data needs to be more fresh.

Edit: The company eventually issued a refund.

Helpful trove of data displayed in a nicely visualized way. Easy to get lost in. Making investment decisions is more than just about finding the highest numbers though (a high cap rate may be for a severely distressed house). Would be even better if listings integrated contextual info like neighbourhood statistics, walk/livability scores. Billing service is not clear and can easily get caught in renewing without intending.

Very informative but very expensive
