Always check the expiration dates on their products... because they will send expired items

Martie's use of UPS means i will not be ordering again. They didn't ring my bell at all and just left a notice saying I could pick up at a local stop. If I had car and lived in suburbia this wouldn't be a big deal but I live in San Francisco and cannot lug multiple heavy boxes several blocks up a hill which means I'm gonna have to pay extra just to have an Uber help me get it home. It's not Martie's fault per se but they've chosen to use of the worst delivery services out there.

Poorly packed and damaged in transit. Total loss of the package the was broken open and an absolute mess in the entire box. I notified them just for situational awareness. Didn't ask for a refund. Simply wanted them to know. 24+ hours later I was asked to provide a photo so they could "assess the situation". Assess the situation? Why would I have held a photoshoot of the mess or kept the mess for a few days? I did NOT ask for any sort of refund. I will take the loss and be sure to pass the word on my experience. I will not be shopping here again and would urge you to find another place to shop for "final sale" items that may or may not be accurately depicted on their site and may or may not make it to you intact.

Know your stuff!!!!! Most items are still cheaper at Wal****!!!!!

Oh boy... I should've read these reviews. I was lured in by great pricing on organic and designer food products. I ordered 6 times in a row. This most recent one was a disaster and all of the reviews here on TrustPilot are TRUE with regard to rectifying problem shipments. First off, please know that the CEO Louise Fritjofsson has been featured in Forbes for raising $7M to start this company. She should be able to afford some customer support. There is nearly nothing. No real time chat, no phone number. You must basically email them and hope for the best. Supposedly the site was founded to "fight food waste" but that seems like quite a spin when they are OK with so many damaged shipments, but keeping your money. I received a busted box that was leaking all over because they shoved 6 cans of soda in a plastic bag loose and expected them to arrive to an out of state destination? Who shoves loose sodas into a bag? Martie. I spent over $50 for items that never arrived. I didn't get any notice. Half the shipment never arrived and the other half was leaking. I hate doing charge backs but I guess I'm going to have to get AMEX involved now. So sad. This was fun for a little while, but now it's a mess on my porch and you simply can't reach ANYONE. EVER.

I liked the concept of Martie when they first alpeared online and their prices were great. I've been supporting their cause amd business since they were small and located in California. My last order is what did me in and I no longer shop online on Martie.com I placed a fairly big order and like all the time's before I was excited to recieve my shippment. I had a busy day and didn't get home until 11pm the night of my Martie shippment. I wasn'to worried about my package being taken because I live in a rural mountain town and my neighbor's look after each other and our properties. As I got home and walked up to my porch there was my huge box from Martie. As I got closer I noticed the box was damaged, wet and one side was completely open. The inside was a mess. It looked as if a football team had used the box as a football. This damage wasn't do to any animals it was do to delivery throwing it around and not caring. I salvaged what I could and cleaned up the mess before I did have a vist from an animal. It was late and I was exhausted. I cleaned up and went to bed. The next day when I had time I sent an email to Martie.com explaining what had happened and even added a little humor while describing the condition of the box. I'm not the type to get upset and write a nasty mean e-mails. I described the item's damaged ( I was being considerate in doing so) and left a few damaged item's off the list that I was able to salvage either by utilizing the item that night or the next day. I actually felt bad about reporting the incident and loss in the first place. I believe I got an email back the next day. The email was your standard "ŵe're sorry about that" and what followed was " you need to send us some pictures of the damage. Well it was really late I was exhausted and didn't think about taking pictures. I just wanted to clean up the mess and go to bed. I was used to other online stores where I could report any damage and the item or item's were replaced. I was at a loss. I had no pictures to send. This was upsetting. I had never filed a complaint with Martie and was a good customer. At least I thought I was. I had to take my loss and accept it. With inflation and food prices going up this didn't sit well with me. I had to stop shopping online with Martie. I now shop online with stores that can take care of any damage or loss that occurs. I can't afford to recieve damged goods that are not edible and wont be replaced. I also learned the lesson of documenting said damage when it oçcurs by taking pictures. Taking the loss was to much.

I've been a shopper at Martie's for a while and remember when shopping with them has much, much better service. While it's fun to find new staple items every week at a discount, you get what you pay for, the service has gone way, way down hill as they've grown and changed distribution centers. I would say my weekly orders have been getting slower and slower. They miss items. They don't respond to emails and you can't call them either. The owners are snobs. The prices are going UP. Products arrive broken or I'm missing at least two or three items per order. Also, check expiration dates! I'm currently in a situation where I've been emailing them for days for products missing and I can't get an answer. Get it together Marties!
