Horrible business! This company provides loans that are predatory also known as sub-prime lending. If you are able to get a traditional loan from another financial institution DO IT! This company takes 1000 % advantage of consumers in financial need charging obscenely high interest rates making it difficult to pay off your loan in a reasonable amount of time. The customer service is also garbage! If you have a layoff, leave of absence, or any work related issue affecting your finances they could care less. This is not how business should be. The people working for Mariner Finance and the company itself are racist, biased, dis-respectful, and all out GARBAGE! I encourage you as consumers to look elsewhere. The company automated response about "unfavorable" experiences are just as worthless as the people who work there. You won't get a real person online concerned enough to care and they're not really interested in your experience.

They sent me multiple prequalification letters for a loan. i have a loan with them and have paid it by direct draft from my checking account for two years. I asked to reset the loan and they said the "system" denied the loan because I didnt meet loan qualifications. This is the same system that sends out the prequalification letters. I recieved another prequalification email the day they denied the loan. This is of the course the result of computers, and not people, making decisions. Yes my credit score had dropped, but there was a legitimate reason why. But they are not interested in you as an individual, only you as numbers on a computer screen. I guess if no one person has to make a decision, than no one person can be responsible and you can just blame everything on a computer program. Also, they quoted a credit score to me that was 63 points lower than my transunion score.

The agent, Trish, explained the type of loan and how it worked so it was an informed decision. I was approved for more then initially thought. The loan was affordable payments. She was helpful and with a smile.

Angel & Candace both contributed to making this a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Candance took my initial call and the process went very smoothly. She was courteous & very personable. Angel went above & beyond the call of duty calling me early the next day to let me know I was approved. She was informative; easy to work with and most efficient. They were a pleasure to work with us and I highly recommend them.

They do what they say, lend you money when others won't, but be prepared to do a LOT of paperwork and pay a TON of interest, only do it if you have no other avenue for money, might as well throw 36 percent or more of your money out the window to people who are ALREADY rich.
