Part was wrong

I bought a Marin DSX (base model). Everything met my expectations except the front tire to fork clearance. The Marin website advertises many advantages. One of the advantages they specifically list for the DSX line is clearance for larger tires. They even show how they modified the frame's seat tube to create clearance. The problem is the fork clearance for the base model is really poor. And while the whole "LBS" (local bike shop) idea is noble, this is 2023, and people WILL order bikes online. It's normally not a problem, as many companies provide sufficient and accurate information to make informed purchases. I spent hours reading specs, and details. I was not prepared for a Marin curve ball though. I'll be keeping the bike, as everything else is good. But I won't be buying another Marin, simply because they are unresponsive to questions.
