Paid for Meds I Never Received - Then They Ghosted Me
Update: After the experience outlined below, I was contacted by a supervisor and was assigned a new coach. The new coach is very responsive and is already much better than Alex was. The supervisor also went to great lengths to make things right, refunded me for the medications I never received, and offered a credit to be used on future meds. I appreciate that, and I'm happy that he took the problem seriously. I'm also happy to have a better coach now. Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic about working with Marek going forward, though I'm still concerned that things went so wrong in the beginning. Here is my first review: Initially, things were OK with my health coach (Alex) and provider (Maria), though I was hesitant about some of their recommendations. After working with them for 6 months, doing testing, etc., I agreed to a treatment plan and paid almost $1000. I waited for the medications to arrive, and nothing came in the mail. After 10 days, I reached out to my coach, Alex. I got nothing back. I waited a few days and messaged again, but nothing. This went on for 30 days. I still hadn't received the meds, and Alex continued ghosting me. I called Marek directly and spoke to Gabi. She said she would look into it for me. Later that day, I got an email from Gabi, and she said, "We need an updated physical on file before we can proceed with controlled medications." She followed that with, "Your request to transfer to a new health coach is currently under review." Apparently, there were additional requirements for the medication Maria prescribed, and she and Alex didn't tell me what was needed. Then, when I reached out multiple times to find out what was wrong, I was ignored. Then they said they had to 'review' my request for a new health coach. After nearly 40 days, I was left with no choice but to open a dispute with my credit card company and report the transaction as fraud. There is more to the story, but I can't put it all in this review. But if you are considering going to Marek Health, believe me, you can do better. They have gotten too big to care about your experience. That's the only way I can reconcile this in my head.
