Chamar B.
Thank you Erica
Erica, I don’t usually do reviews or write comments. But I wanted to take the time out of my day to give thanks to you and Marek for helping me. In 2022 after doing my annual physical. My doctor told me I had low thyroid hormone. They wanted to put me on thyroxine to see if that would help. I started taking that and felt horrible. They then switched me over to armor thyroid. I felt a little better. But notice my face and physical appearance was off. I was always tired. I felt sluggish. I thought it was maybe testosterone levels were low, or I just wasn’t getting good quality sleep. I actually thought maybe I had sleep apnea. I started feeling depressed after seeing my hair thinning. I was taking oral finasteride and topical monoxidil. I had some side effects from the finasteride and switch to a topical version. My hair got worse. This in turn made my depression worse. I stopped going to the gym because I was confused. “Maybe I’m doing something wrong somewhere” gained a few pounds, and noticed that my body looked worse than it did at a higher weight. I thought it was due to muscle loss from not going to the gym. I tried to start back exercising but had no motivation. I even went to the gym and noticed my strength decreased significantly. Hair loss, muscle loss, fatigue, no sexual desire, obesity. Had me spiraling downward in depression. My doctor didn’t follow up with me to see how I was doing. This went on until last year when you reached out to me for my annual bloodwork with Marek. This time in an effort to find out what was going on. I ordered the extensive bloodwork panel. A lot of my markers were off. Including thyroid as expected. You formulated a plan of treatments. One in particular was thyroid support. I started to ween myself off of the armor thyroid before taking the thyroid support. After a month I realized for some reason I had started felling energetic. Even after some nights of getting 4 hours of sleep I noticed my hair starting to regrow from the dutasteride you prescribed. Although it’s not at 100% I can definitely tell the difference. It was just a few months prior I was looking into getting a hair procedure done. I cancelled that appointment by the way. I went to my doctor to have my thyroid checked as they do this often to monitor thyroid function. The results came back normal. My doctors are confuse, and think that the bloodwork may be wrong. I really don’t know what to tell them. But the one thing I want to say to you is thank you for fixing my thyroid problem. I no longer have to take armor thyroid.
