Manhattan PrepReviews of manhattanprep.com

Overall, MGMAT has improved my score and is worth the price. Full of unlimited resources and definitely a technologically advanced program.

Lots of study materials available, friendly and knowledgable tutors, and flexible schedule. The only suggestion would be to have more hours available for the crash course sessions. But overall well worth the money.

Manhattan Prep's curriculum and textbooks were pretty incredible. Personally, I learn the most studying alone rather than in class, so that aspect of the class really resonated with me. Manhattan's learning theory is really top notch. My only complaint would be that during the online sessions, the class seemed to go much slower than I what I needed, so I felt the actual lessons were a bit inefficient. But with tens of people in the same classroom I think that's inevitable anywhere.

Manhattan Prep did a wonderful job of preparing me for the GMAT. The highly- structured 9-week course was clearly designed by experts and the materials and online tools were great. My instructor (Elaine Loh) was amazing! She was really smart, knowledgeable, and encouraging, though it seems like Manhattan clearly prioritizes finding talented instructors so I think they're probably all very capable. Manhattan has a great reputation and I think it's the result of the consistency of their qualified instructors and well-organized curriculum.

I signed up for the classroom session. My instructor (Chris Peckover) was amazing. Engaging, funny, energetic, and had a great attitude. After class was over, I hit a stumbling block w/ self study and then I started doing private tutoring w/ Marc Fienberg - that experience was not nearly as impressive. Having done ~2-3 months worth of PT w/ Marc weekly, my score didn't improve at all (in fact, I took a CAT while working w/ him and my score dropped 70 points from my previous CAT). Marc did not work w/ me much on Verbal (even though CR was a clear weakness and even though I asked him to). Was very "on the clock". Now, studying on my own, discovered EMPOWERgmat and GMATClub and my score has climbed up 140 points above where I left off w/ Marc. Good: I like MPREP's CATs. Chris Peckover is a great instructor. Jamie Nelson also gave me an amazing PCA. Bad: Private Tutoring experience w/ Marc. Would I recommend? Ehh...

My course with Matt Shinners was incredibly helpful during my time studying for the LSAT. Aside from the helpful material and testaking strategies, if you put in the time and effort during class and on the homework, the instructor will meet you halfway, helping you reach a potential you didn't think was possible.

Great experience

Highly recommend Manhattan GMAT if you are serious about doing well on the test.
