A solid cast iron company. It's not the quality of the old cast iron pans from the 60's like "Erie". Those ones were half as thick and twice as good because they were light. They also had a much smoother finish. The modern Lodge is bumpy, but still works well enough once properly seasoned.

I current own thier: 12" CI skillet, 10" CI skillet, 3.2 QT combo CI dutch oven 12" CS skillet, 8" CS skillet, CS grill pan, CS griddle, and a chainmail scrubber. Lodge's cast iron (CI) and carbon steel (CS) have a rougher surface than other brands like Matfer, de buyer, and etc.So far this has been a non issue for me. I regularly use my 12" CI skillet, 12" CS skillet, 8" CI skillet and my Dutch oven.
