TERRI V.
Dishonest, uncaring and predatory company.
My husband and I bought $7K+ worth of what we thought a very nice furniture. We were also sold the warranty for just over $700. Within a few months, a leg had broken on an ottoman, the coffee table had a paint defect and the dining table had a 'bubble' in the paint that eventually came off. We sent in pictures for the warranty work, were told these 'defects' didn't qualify (no explanation as to why) so were stuck. Living Spaces said we could receive a refund of the warranty cost (no offer to fix anything) but after 2 years we finally gave up. I'd call, about 1 out of 10 call I would speak with someone, explain my issue, they'd either transfer me to a 'manager' who assured me he/she could help but never would we hear from them again or simply put me on permanent hold. I was directed by one manager to write a letter to the warranty company which I did; no response. I spoke with the warranty people myself and they assured me that if was Living Space's responsibility to resolve this issue since they'd taken the money; Living Spaces said just the opposite. This company is a master of the run-around with no results. We are nice people, seniors, who tried to resolve this issue politely, professionally and sincerely. Word to the wise ~ do NOT pay cash; use a credit card and do NOT buy the 'warranty'. Also pay attention to the Better Business Bureau reviews. Had we not paid cash we would have disputed the charge with the bank.
