I had been looking at Lively Root on line for a while and decided to order a plant for my son’s girlfriend for her birthday. Her bday was 12/12. I ordered the plant on 12/4 to be delivered by 12/13, according to their website ordering form. Her birthday came and went and the UPS tracking form showed it had not even been received by Lively root. I reached out to them by email. They returned the email after a couple days that they would check in to it. A week later, no plant, I had to reach out again. Same time to respond, same response. She is a college student so she eventually left to come home for the holidays. The plant was delivered while she was away, 2 weeks late. So now, there is no telling what kind of condition it will be in when she finally does open the package a week from now. Huge waste of time and money, and a bit embarrassing considering it was a gift she should have received almost a month ago. Would not recommend!

My order was a gift that I had…
My order was a gift that I had accidently sent to my address rather than the shipping address. I immediately emailed and messaged that there was a mistake and needed to change my address before the package went out. Outside of the fact that no on works on the weekend, and you can never get a gold of a person, the communication is either passive aggressive bs or nonexistent. I highly recommend saving yourself the money and time, and redirecting your attention elsewhere. I'm sure pretty much anywhere else is better.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback! Since this time, we have increased our phone hours and chat hours. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to always staff someone on weekends, but we typically do during our peak seasons. We are also looking into ways for customers to update any address errors on their own after placing an order, assuming it's not too far along the Operations Process.

The plant I ordered arrived in HORRIBLE…
The plant I ordered arrived in HORRIBLE shape. Plus, the container I paid extra for did not come with it. I contacted the company but I am still waiting for them to make it right. I will NEVER order from them again. I was ripped off so BUYER BEWARE!!

To summarize, we sent you a response to your email on August 7th and that email bounced back. We sent you a screenshot that shows this and we apologize that there was no notification to the agent that their email did not arrive to you. Per his prior responses in working with you, we had and have every intention of making things right. Regarding the missing container, I sent you a copy of your order confirmation email and there was no upgraded container/pot added to your order or paid for. We are happy to provide you a free one with your replacement. Please respond to the direct email I sent you just a short time ago and we will get this resolved immediately. Thank you!

I ordered an Anthurium a ahouse warming…
I ordered an Anthurium a ahouse warming gift for a friend and it came very damaged. I tried to contact the company and I didn't get any results. The plant is in poor condition as a result. I am very upset over this, it wasn't a cheap gift. Phyllis L Kruszynski It was sometime in May

Poor customer service
Perhaps this is the way to get a response from the company. Initially, after I placed an order, I realized I had not seen a place to include a gift card. I waited for my promised confirmation email, which never came. I have sent Lively Roots four messages over four days. I am now in the process of trying to cancel my order - if indeed I have one.

Hi, thank you for reaching out and providing feedback! Unfortunately I do not have enough information from this review to look into your specific order or communications with our Customer Service. Our system is set up to send order confirmation emails for every order placed and we respond to all email submissions within 2 business days, so this is certainly not normal and is unacceptable. I would love to look into your specific situation. Please respond to our request for informations so we can further look into this and make things right.

I received a plant as a gift
I received a plant as a gift. It showed up with rot on half the leaves. I reached out for a replacement. They said they'd send one. They never did.

No gift arrived
I ordered a plant as a gift for a colleague at another university who had gone above and beyond. The plant was shipped later than stated, they had trouble navigating a university address (even though they have ads for college dorm delivery!), and then...it never arrived. I received a vague message stating that the plant had been left "in a mailroom" but that's all the information to be had. I contacted customer service and they told me to take a photo of the plant and send it to them. This is so frustrating. I can't take a photo of a plant that can't be found! I've spend way too much time and energy trying to locate this plant and Lively Root has done nothing to contribute to the search. Long story short: my gift was not received and there appears to be nothing that can be done about it. In this case, the company has shown little care for their plants or their customers.
