Company is excellent at finding caring, thoughtful hosts to rent their spaces out around the world. This felt much more safe and community oriented compared to Airbnb.

A great model for the shared economy — Kindred makes it easy for people to share their homes and travel in a more personal and affordable way. The platform is very well designed, especially for first-time hosts. The app guides you through the whole process, and the hosting guidelines and starter kit are incredibly helpful when preparing your home for your first guests. Overall, a very thoughtful and well-organized concept that makes home swapping feel simple and trustworthy.

Thoughtful and well-organized is exactly what we're going for, so this is lovely to hear! We put a lot of care into making that first hosting experience feel manageable, and it means a lot knowing it landed. Thank you for taking the time to write this!

Love Kindred! The community of wonderful, kind people who are willing to open up their homes to others is what makes it so special. It feels like so much more than just a way to travel. There’s a genuine sense of trust, generosity, and community behind it that makes the whole experience feel really unique. We’ve had such a great overall experience and are so grateful to be part of it! Even interactions with the support team have been pleasant, I can’t speak highly enough about Kindred after using it for the first time while visiting NYC last weekend.

What a wonderful first experience to have, and welcome to Kindred! You've hit on something we really believe in: it's the people who make this work, not only the platform. So glad NYC treated you well and that the team was there when you needed them. Here's to many more!

Traveling and hosting with Kindred is great. Amazing places to stay, and knowing that our home is going to be clean and well-cared for when we arrive back. Particularly great for traveling with young children. All of our trips now are determined by which Kindreds we can find!
Response from KindredSep 16, 2026
Planning your trips around which Kindreds you can find, now that's commitment, we love it! And so glad it's been such a good fit for traveling with little ones. Real homes make such a difference with kids in tow. Thank you for sharing this, Erin!
