Kindred has very good guidelines and processes for both hosts and guests. I have hosted in the past and have just had my first guest experience, and things have gone smoothly both times.

Kindred has completely changed the way I think about travelling. I’ve just had my first experiences both staying in other members’ homes and hosting someone in my own apartment, and I honestly couldn’t have hoped for a better introduction. What I love most is the sense of trust and community. Staying in a real home makes travelling feel much more personal and allows you to experience a city more like a local, while hosting has felt surprisingly easy and rewarding. Communication with the people I’ve met through Kindred has been warm, respectful and uncomplicated, and I’ve felt very comfortable both as a guest and as a host. I also really appreciate how much flexibility Kindred gives you. On my recent trip to Barcelona, my plans changed at short notice and I was able to arrange another stay incredibly quickly, which allowed me to extend my trip by a week. After my first few experiences, I’m already looking forward to using Kindred again. It feels like such a lovely way to travel, meet good people and make much better use of the homes we already have. A very easy five stars from me.

This is a great service and feels like old school Airbnb and how Airbnb should feel like. Not a hotel apartment, but a real home you will stay at.
