We spend millions in cloud and compute spend for funded B2B SaaS products but Linode thought that we were suspicious and rejected our account AFTER asking for payment method. Luckily we use Mercury so we cancelled the card. Complete trash security and customer experience.

Put down card details to spin up a couple of staging boxes late last night, only for an automated fraud filter to bin the entire account half an hour later. The Nanode pricing is solid once you actually have access, but getting flagged and locked out before even touching a terminal is infuriating. Sorting basic verification shouldn't be this much friction.

These guys are complete idiots! I use the same data ( including my credit card & company data for years with AWS, Digital Ocean, Vultr, Cloudways, WPEngine, the entire Laravel ecosystem ( Forge, Cloud, Nightwatch, etc ), Hetzner ( with verifications of my ID and my company ). We have a large number of services that we offer to a variety of clients and never has any issues with anybody in the past. Not even once. I can, of course, get a VPS from this "Linode BS" using Cloudways or other services but just wanted to test the service and after taking my credit card & company info, I get this email: Your recently created account has been denied activation due to activity or patterns associated with fraudulent behavior. Additional attempts to sign up may also be rejected. The Akamai Compute Team Now I need to go to the bank and change that card. Smells like scammers to me. Please take care of your work. This is rude & uncalled for. Practically the definition of an bunch of stupid idiots!

I’ve been a Linode user for a while, but since September I’ve completely lost access to my account and all related services — without receiving any email or warning beforehand. What’s worse is that I’ve tried multiple times to contact Linode support, but there has been no response or resolution. This level of service is really disappointing and unprofessional, especially for a company that presents itself as developer-friendly and reliable. I received a marketing email recently, which felt ironic considering my account is still inaccessible and no one has addressed my issue. At this point, I cannot recommend Linode to anyone who values stability and customer support. — Mahziyar Azimzadeh

signed up, gave address, credit card details. Told me they were checking my account and it would be activated later. Within an hour got a snotty email telling me ... A recently created account with this email address was canceled by our automated systems. This was due to activity or patterns associated with fraudulent behavior. Additional attempts to sign up may also be rejected. This is the worst customer experience I've ever seen or heard of. They can keep their crappy service. And now they have my address and credit card details. Scary. Keep away from these cowboys !!

I’ve been charged for years for object storage when I took everything out of my storage they still were charging me. My card was expired. It still was charging me. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
