I have really like this alarm for the price and simplicity of setup. It comes with lots of options but my only problem is with the lamp management device. I had problems with the management of this device to begin with but It has never properly worked. So in short it was a waste of purchase.

System went together easy some sensors had to be renamed, garage door tilt sensor set alarm when storm just rattled it.

I was with ADT ever since they took over Broadview and Brinks. Brinks is a fantastic company and have used their equipment for 20 years. Great equipment and customer service. However, ever since ADT took over, customer service is horrible. They wanted to charge for everything and are like a sales department. Long story short, that forced me to look for a new company for security. ADT is a BIG JOKE! Not only the monthly cost but I would also have to have a landline. I got rid of both when I bought the wireless system since there is built in cellular module and that in result, save on monthly fees. I have to pay extra for the 2Gig system but in the long run, it would pay off plus the system has provided so much more features. My wife was upset at first for the spending but after having it in for 2 months now, she really likes it too. I bought 2Gig system from Link Home Security through Costco. The system is great and the service was even better. The customer service from Link Home Security has been very prompt (Travis G). Motion Detectors on the system have been much better than the ones that came with the Brinks System, more coverage in distance and radius. I was going to go with Safemart who also sells the same 2Gig and GE system. Safemart charges for the cellular module separately and you can't go through Costco. Therefore, it costed much more. I believe all of them use Alarm.com to perform the monitoring. There are some inconvenience in the 2gig system, such as no external speaker attachement and false alarm deactivations. Also, Link Home Security is not 24 hours for questions for those who work and do not get home until 8pm.

I did a fair amount of research on homeowner-installed security alarm/monitoring systems, and Link Home Security was consistently highly-rated. I purchased my system through Costco, and installed it myself over the course of an afternoon. I'm moderately "handy" and it took me about 3 hours to complete the installation -- but it would not have taken this long (probably half as long) if the control panel had not had a power supply/wiring issue that had to be corrected in order for the panel to receive power. I called technical support, and the technician (Travis) was very helpful, and he talked me through the correction process. The system, overall, is very intuitive, has many options available, and customer service has been exceptional (Debbie Elliott, Business Manager, has also been very helpful). I would recommend Link Home Security to a friend.

THE SYSTEM WAS EASY TO INSTALL, OTHER THAN THE CAMERA. I DIDN'T USE THE THERMOSTAT BECAUSE I HAVE A HIGH TECH THERMOSTAT IN USE NOW THAT WORKS WELL. PERSONEL WERE VERY HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS. WE WON'T KNOW HOW WELL THE SYSTEM WORKS UNTIL WE HAVE A BREAK-IN, WHICH HOPEFULLY WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
