Received my order from COSTCO quickly and everything is programmed ready for installation. Unfortunately there's a little information about the installation itself, it's all there just need to figure out yourself. For example the default password is in fine print. Had to watch a lot of Youtube to get everything in order.

I have been having some problems with external siren randomly loosing connection and even purchased additional repeaters in case the distance was a problem (the siren is just on thr other side of wall in the garage), but still have this problem from time to time. Other than this problem everything else seems to work as advertised and they were fairly easy to install.

After doing a lot of research, I went with Link Interactive because of customer reviews and its partnership with Costco. I got the basic system from Costco and setting it up was very easy, which is good because I'm not handy at all. I've had a couple of false alarms and the monitoring center has called me right away! The only issue I've had is that my dog has set of the motion detector even with the setting on for heavier pets. Finally, since everything is set up so easily and without having to drill into walls or things like that, I think this system is perfect for renters.

Overall, good product with the following annoyances. 1. Periodically, the main controller sounds an alarm with three loud long beeps with a voice message that it has lost communication with the base station. This happens in succession over 15 minutes. When I call customer service, they have perform a self test and then they confirm everything is fine. 2. Their customer service hour are not 24 hours a day, so if you live in California, good luck contacting anyone after working hours. 3. The cell phone app doesn't always connect and doesn't tell you if the optional lights/appliances are on or off. Example, you turn on your home lighting, but it doesn't comfirm if your house received the command. Overall good monthly rate, semi-easy self installation as their instructions could use a technical writer review, BUT with a spotty cell phone application that lacks controller confirmation and base controller false alarms, it's not a top rated service.

Really like the technology offered with Link Security. They offer a great value for all the features and benefits provided. Wish their associates had a bit more excitement and didn't sound like zombies when you call them but that's not a breaking point in my opinion. Overall the service and care has been great and would definitely recommend.
