LINK.COM are SCAMMERS
I purchased Clarks shoes a few weeks ago to be delivered to Abu Dhabi. The website is called wwwClarkssa, and it looked legit, but interestingly, the payment link took me to Link.com, where I made the payment. The confirmatory email looked dodgy and not from Clarks! Now, after 3 weeks, items have not been delivered. The seller is not contactable, and it's clear that I was scammed. Link.com seems to have colluded with the scammer, as they refused to help in any way, though the payment was supposedly made and protected by them. They said, I need to sort it out with my bank! Guys, stop making any payments through linkdotcom; they are no longer trustworthy. I contacted their online support line last night, and tonight, all their replies are autogenerated/AI. Cut and paste from the replies I received last night. BEWARE OF LINK PLATFORM FOR MAKING ONLINE PAYMENT

Hi Ahmed, we're truly sorry to hear about your experience with this purchase. We'd like to clarify that Link is a payment processor, which means we facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers, but we don't sell goods ourselves. Since you mentioned issues with the delivery and the seller's responsiveness, the best step would be to reach out to your bank to discuss the possibility of disputing the charge. If you have further questions about Link, please visit our support page at https://support.stripe.com, and we'll be more than happy to assist you.

Payment processing for scammers
Bought some practice tests for law from a site . They did not send anything(supposed ro download after payment) . Contact was only through whatsapp with a bogus number. Payment was made with link where I have an account . When I asked the details of this company they gave me an email address and a garbage Facebook link. I insisted and was told they do not have a name or address or phone number! So how can you process payments for scammers and do not due minimum due diligence > They told me also they do a rigorous check of the customers . Yes indeed ....

Sorry to hear about your experience with this transaction, rolleikid. Link is a payment tool designed to facilitate secure transactions, but we rely on merchants to be transparent about their business operations. While we conduct risk assessments, certain fraudulent activities can still occur. For issues like this, we encourage you to contact your bank or credit card company to discuss options for disputing the charge. For more information, you can visit our support site at https://support.stripe.com, and feel free to reach out for further assistance.
