Do not order from this company! They don’t show negative reviews on their listings, and for good reason! I ordered what was supposed to be an amber brown light fixture, but I opened the package to find a neon orange light. I was charged as soon as I made the order, but it wasn’t shipped until a month and a half later. It conveniently came into stock the day that I tried to cancel my order for the second time.

I ordered a light fixture that said it was listed but it arrived with no listing sticker showing it was tested and safe for install. The electricians let me know it's not safe to install. Now I am out the cost of the fixture AND have to pay to have the electricians come back. Scam website. Do not use.

This company is a scam. Sold a product that wasn’t in stock. I wasn’t given notice at the time and a week later reached out to them to ask where my package was. Here’s the response: “We are sorry that the fixtures you purchased are out of stock currently, and it is expected to be available in early January. Please be assured that we will arrange shipment as soon as the light is available. It takes 2-3 business days for the light to arrive at your shipping address from our warehouse in CA. Could you kindly wait a bit more?” I notice that the light is still available for sale a week later with no indication it’s not actually in stock. I bring this up and ask for my money back because this is shady practice. Their response: “Thank you for reaching out, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Occasionally, there may be a slight delay in the system updating product availability, and we’re very grateful that you brought this to our attention. We will report this to our technical department for further verification and improvement. If you are willing to wait a little longer, we would be happy to offer an extra 5% refund for the inconvenience. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can help you exchange the light for another fixture that is currently in stock. You can send us a link or a picture of the alternative fixture, and we’ll assist you in adjusting your order accordingly.” My options apparently aren’t getting a refund. My credit card company disagrees. I don’t know what’s going on with this company but this is effectively a scam and I advise anyone to avoid them entirely.

I was very disheartened by my experience. I ordered lights, needed to return them the next day, and was charged $500 in return shipping. The website is severely misleading. It is very bizarre they were trying to pay me to keep the items when I could not use them. Now I am out $500 and have no light fixtures. I called 10x and no one ever responded.

Their return policy states that items cannot be returned once they’ve been unpacked or assembled. This is frustrating, since you often can’t fully evaluate a product until you put it together. What makes it worse is that this restriction isn’t clearly highlighted - it’s tucked away under the “Restocking Fees” section of the policy. Unless you carefully read every detail or ask in advance, you won’t discover this limitation until it’s too late.

Hi Ben, Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify that our return policy requires all returned fixtures to be in their original condition, as assembled or modified fixtures cannot be resold and therefore are not eligible for return. If a fixture has only been unpacked but not assembled, it absolutely meets the standard for return. Additionally, our return guidelines are clearly stated on our Return & Refund Policy page: https://lightfixturesusa.com/policies/refund-policy , not tucked away under the “Restocking Fees” section. This page explains that all returned items must be in original condition, while assembled or modified fixtures are not qualified for return. We apologize for any confusion and appreciate your feedback. We will continue working to make our policies easier to understand for our customers. Best Regards, LightFixturesUSA Team

Horrendous customer service. Called and emailed over multiple business days with no response until almost a week later. Nobody answers the phone number provided on the website. Website also states easy returns, but they wanted to charge me $600 in shipping on a return of 3 lights. The lights shipped to me from NJ but they required me to return ship them to CA and I am on the East Coast. I cannot stress enough how frustrating this transaction has been with the shipping charges and complete lack of communication from their customer service team.

Hi Jordan, We’re very sorry for the unpleasant experience you’ve had. At this time, we do not provide phone support, but we do respond to emails within 1–2 working days. Please rest assured that we are happy to cover all costs if a fixture arrives damaged, defective, or if there is an error on our part. For standard returns, customers are typically responsible for the return shipping. While we have several warehouses located in California, New Jersey, and New York, currently only one of our California warehouses is equipped to process returned fixtures. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding. The three chandeliers you ordered are large and require significant shipping space: Two packages: 70 × 62 × 39 cm each Third chandelier: three packages (55 × 55 × 37 cm, 68 × 66 × 41 cm, 69 × 69 × 34 cm) Returning these from your location in PA 15001 to our California warehouse results in higher shipping costs than standard packages. We also encourage exploring more cost-efficient shipping methods rather than using our return labels. Under the circumstances, we will issue a full refund for your order. We have also communicated potential alternatives, such as a partial refund, but these were not accepted. We apologize that we cannot currently provide a more affordable return shipping option, but we will continue to explore better solutions to improve service for our customers. We appreciate your understanding and patience, and we are committed to resolving this matter as smoothly as possible. Sincerely, LightFixturesUSA

Took an order, charged my card but no valid phone number and they do not respond to e-mails. Huge scam. Haw can they have a Trust score of 77? I looked at Trust Pilot before ordering, it is a blemish on Trust Pilot and the foreign scammers they gave a decent rating.

Order from somewhere else! Website misleading and terrible customer service. Bought a very expensive lamp and website indicated free returns, color was not as stated on the website so was unhappy with my purchase. When I went to return the company said they were not free and it would cost ~$180 for shipping. I shipped it on my own to their address on file and they said it was sent to the wrong one so did not refund them the money. Currently out of pocket for the purchase price of the lamp that I no longer have in my possession + return shipping. Would think with all the options for lamps this company would be better to work with and would not mislead customers on their website.
