I have purchased several products from Life Extension and appreciate the company’s research-driven approach to longevity and healthy aging. My main concern is the use of unnecessary excipients, fillers, and dyes. I carefully read ingredient labels and avoid products containing ingredients such as magnesium stearate, artificial dyes, or other additives I consider unnecessary. This can be frustrating when the active ingredients and research behind a product are otherwise compelling. I encourage Life Extension to move toward cleaner, more minimal formulations. Customers focused on longevity often pay close attention to the entire ingredient profile, not just the active ingredients. I also live in Arizona, where extreme heat is a serious concern. In my most recent order, my CoQ10 capsules were left outside in the heat and were nearly melted inside the bottle. This is more than a cosmetic issue—it raises legitimate concerns about product integrity, stability, and whether the supplement remains in the condition intended by the manufacturer. For temperature-sensitive products, I strongly encourage Life Extension to implement better heat-protection measures during shipping, particularly in states with extreme summer temperatures. Clear shipping precautions and appropriate packaging would also help ensure customers receive the product as intended. I would purchase more Life Extension products if the formulations were cleaner and greater attention were given to protecting product integrity throughout the shipping process.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback, we are happy to share this with our team. We understand your concerns regarding excipients and shipping in extreme temperatures. Inactive ingredients play important roles in supplement manufacturing, including supporting product stability, moisture control, and accurate dosing. We use them in minimal amounts, all excipients used in our products meet GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) criteria, and our scientific team reviews the research on each ingredient for safety and effectiveness before it is included in a formula. Regarding heat exposure, while high temperatures can occasionally cause softgels to soften or stick together, short-term heat exposure during shipping is very unlikely to impact product potency or efficacy. If you'd like to learn more, our Wellness Specialists are available free of charge at 1-800-226-2370. They can discuss the role of specific excipients in our formulas, the research behind them, and the studies our Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams have conducted regarding heat exposure and product stability.
