LibreOfficeReviews of libreoffice.org

I wrote a previous review pointing out some limitations of LibreOffice. Those limitations have now been fully addressed and corrected, and I have been using LibreOffice as a complete replacement for Microsoft Office, both for verbal composition and for spreadsheet functions.

I used an exel file with a password on Libre Office then tried to use in exel it would not open. Very un happy!

It's free, it opens my docs, I can edit them, no complaints. Don't understand the crazily negative reviews, thanks Libre office for choosing not to be a subscription service like the rest!

It just works. It's ethical. It's smooth and a huge pleasure working with it. I've been using it for years now, and it just gets better and better. It handles huge documents way better than MS Office and other office suits.

Libreoffice is a plague, a fungus, a self-spreading fungus that interferes with your files, owns your files, makes them unreadable if you save them in Word and put them into a computer that has no Libreoffice, turns your file into 'read only' turns your thumb drives into "cannot eject, unmount..." , suddenly tells you "You have no right" to edit your own file. I removed this plague from my laptops several twice but I have this odt files that I need to open. You save your file into text only and nobody can read it. I've put in WIN and in MAC and in MAC lynux is the same plague demented controlling program. Interface is ridiculous, spending half an hour to find a basic feature.
